The father of a 14-year-old girl who took her own life after being mercilessly bullied has spoken of his heartbreak at losing both his daughter and his wife in the space of three months.
I wonder if anyone would read the account. it's shocking.
what should happen to the boys who put mia's face on pornographic images and posted on snapchat.Young Mia Janin was found dead at home in Harrow, north London, in March 2021 after being bullied by classmates both online and at the (JFS), school where she was a Year 10 student.

This week, a coroner's court ruled that she had killed herself 'while still a child and while still in the process of maturing into adulthood' having 'experienced bullying behaviour from some male students'.

What a terrible sad waste of a young life.

I’m sorry lemsip but I’m finding I just can’t read the details of such shocking violence. It’s breaks my heart.

Her dad and family have now to live with all they know she had to go through.A life sentence for them with no time out for good behaviour..awful just awful.

Bullying has always existed and now the cowards have another way through social media to bully leading to these deaths.

It is about time that a child, who is being bullied by their peers and who cannot defend themselves, is labelled a crime and the first sign of it, whether it is done in real life or by technology, i.e. smart phones, the bullies are reported to the police. Stop it before it escalates in a childs death. It is harrassment, no more no less. Too many children are being stabbed, bullied by kids their own age and I think these bullying children need a short, sharp lesson and put in jail for a week.

In my day, there was no social media and mobile phones and we got bullied in the playground by another child who thought he/she ruled the roost but there were teachers on guard all the time and the bullies got the cane, that sorted them out.

I thought there was a spark of hope when the USA Supreme Court took on the tech scum but they back tracked 😡
I bet nobody uses images of Zuckerbergs children.

I believe a lot of those who created SM, don't permit their children/ young people anywhere near it.

The news has been particularly grim today.

Money is at the bottom of most decisions from those in power I'm afraid petra.

I was horribly bullied as a young person, even now well into my seventies I can remember the absolute despair I was in, its stayed with me all these years. If social media had been around in those days I really don't know how I would have survived. My heart goes out to this family

notoveryet, so sad and sorry to read your post and to know that even now you are affected by the bullying. I was fortunate - it never happened to me , but fully understand how the pain remains 💐.
This poor family my heart breaks for them , can only imagine what that man is enduring.
I despair when I watch the news , what is happening to our country? SM has a lot to answer for, children are being bullied online and not telling anyone!!! My heart breaks for them . The violence among young people is mounting and stabbing incidents are happening all the time - what is the answer? Truly shocking!!
