Russias oil is going to many developing countries as well as China, Iran, India and other allied nations at much the same price as before.
LNG and other strategic minerals are still being exported to the west, including Titanium to Airbus in France, sanctions mostly affect luxuries from the west and technology, but a lot is still getting through.

We should hear soon if the USA money for Ukraine gets the green light.

Why aren’t sanctions on Russia going further. we could sanction the insurance companies that insurance the ships that transport the gas. The same with the ports that they offload at.
At the moment Russia is one of the few countries whose economy is rosy.

There is too much UK money tied up in Russia still, especially in the Tory party (which has been geting money from Russian olgarchs for years) this is especially the case with property purchased by Russians in London. The government daren't employ tougher sanctions because they (as individuals) would be poorer for it. Much easier to invest in the arms trade which never ceases to be lucrative. Putin spends money on arms sold to him by us- this is how complex and messed up the world is.

Because the economy is on a war footing.

Russias economy is on a war footing, which is why sanctions are having little effect.

Trump+Putin are a disaster for Europe.

Don’t worry in a month or two the Ukraine war will intensify when the winter conditions abate. Many countries have been sending their old obselete armaments to Ukraine but now the stockpiles have been depleted. It seems that Russia has much larger stockpiles of ammunition and has been able to increase production of new. It also is becoming apparent that sanctions have had very little effect on their ability to fight in Ukraine
Because anti tank missiles are now so powerful many of the armored vehicles have been lost already so it’s not really surprising the Ukraine has been unable to make real gains

I agree too. Gaza has taken the spotlight off Ukraine. It’s a huge pity because what’s happening in Ukraine is equally awful, if not more so, but the world has to large extent, lost interest.

What is going on in Gaza is a gift to Putin.

Yes.

If Trump gets into power then God help Ukraine.

The US needs to follow through on its promise of arms to Ukraine. Apparently they are ready to go but seem to be holding back.

The Republicans are holding up the dispatch of weapons/money. for a reason known only to themselves.

Ukraine need sustainable help to defeat Putin. If he doesn’t succeed who is next? Ukraine’s victory (Kherson’s liberation) was greatly celebrated on Nov 11 2022 but today, only the river stands between its residents and Putin’s looming forces.

Apparently the West has been sending old weapons because they don't want new technology to get into the wrong hands. The stores of the old stuff have been depleted and the older weapons cannot now be manufactured.

So, good for Denmark and lets hope other nations will follow suit.

That’s it really.

The west has to stop President Putin…
