Perhaps one of the kids was sick and he had to pick them up from school.

Poor chap, he might just have a bad cold.

Perhaps it is norovirus or something he has eaten. Lots of things can give you the trots, which would need an instant withdrawal from any immediate engagement, but be of no other concern.

It is unusual and in view of recent royal events, slightly concerning.

I also hope his wife and children are all ok.

BBC reports that Prince William has pulled out of attending Greek funeral for personal reasons… any ideas?

It is not a funeral.

It is a memorial service at Windsor Castle for King Constantine. Queen Camilla and other members of the Royal family will be attending.
