BBC reports that Prince William has pulled out of attending Greek funeral for personal reasons… any ideas?

Probably off visiting Rose like father like son

Could be.
But I think Katherine is more determined than Diana. She worked hard to get him. She'll probably turn a blind eye and think of the crown.

You could at least bother to spell her name correctly. If you’re sufficiently interested to want to bitch about her, you must have read it often enough.

Vicious cruel negative comments really don’t help anyone

I agree.

However, some of it is fantasy.

My guess is, that after 7 years of dating Chelsy Davy and then being dumped, there was no way he was going to risk waiting 7 years next time round. You just wouldn't!

Smileless2012 Sun 03-Mar-24 15:27:55

But when you said "she worked hard" you weren't saying that about a woman's successful career Glorianny, you said it about Kate 'getting her man'. It's obviously a nasty dig and the more you try to deny it, the more obvious it becomes.

Anniebach Sun 03-Mar-24 15:13:21

Edward and Sophie, William and Catherine, Anne and Timothy, no rush

Andrew and Sarah, Harry and Megan, Charles and Diana, Margaret and Tony no waiting

* Gloriananny* you should learn that it’s perfectly ok to bitch and be as nasty as you like about Meghan but not St Catherine at any time.

Well it's good you're acknowledging that Glorianny is bitching and being nasty about Catherine, something she's denying!

Glorianny

Well changing your University to meet him and waiting almost 7 years sems pretty hard work to me.
Funny what's above criticism on GN

You have no evidence she changed universities just to meet William, that's tabloid gossip. They broke up for a while during which time Catherine obviously didn't fall in love with anyone else. Why is that working hard? Most of us can't turn love off and on at will, you it would seem are capable of doing so.

You are being criticised for making nasty comments about someone and then trying to alter what you said. Instead of owning your comments you just keep digging deeper.

Wished two children out of existence? What a ridiculous comment. Every broken relationship or death of a spouse denies future potential children of that relationship of their existence. That is simply a non argument.

Jaberwok Sun 03-Mar-24 14:00:56

Prince Edward and Sophie dated for six years in order presumably, like Catherine and William, to make sure as much as you can, that life inside the RF is not going to be a marriage breaker. As you say Annie, if only Harry has given it longer, a lot of heartache could have been avoided. Yes Catherine changed universities, so what, so did my granddaughter. Perhaps St Andrews offered a better course. Any other reason is purely speculation. Perhaps Catherine waited so long because she fell in love? Well there's a thought!

Glorianny Sun 03-Mar-24 13:45:22

Anniebach

If Harry had waited he wouldn’t have had his two children?
yes, I didn’t think of Megan’s race to the alter

Well they met in 2016 Anniebach so if they waited 7 years they would have only just married. You just wished two children out of existence.

Glorianny Sun 03-Mar-24 13:42:22

I don't understand the conventions on here. Please can someone explain to me why it is OK to wish someone had never married (and therefore two children wouldn't exist) but not OK to say someone worked hard to marry another person and quite fancied the status that would bring?
If I'm "scraping the barrel" I'm doing it because I really don't understand the protocol here.

Aveline Sun 03-Mar-24 13:35:51

Marry in haste repent at leisure...

Glorianny Sun 03-Mar-24 13:25:48

Both waiting seven years was sensible, if only only Harry had waited, if only, if only, if only.

He wouldn't have two lovely children he obviously adores- but it's OK to say that is it?

I don't blame you Rosie51

This barrel-scraping by Gloriany is tedious.

Oh for goodness sake! She worked hard to get him is hardly the same as saying a CEO worked hard to get to the top. You're implying Catherine only married William to get the crown. You have proof of William's unfaithfulness do you, or is that just ugly gossip?

Meghan possibly worked hard to catch Harry, but Catherine (definitely according to you) worked hard to catch William. Do your double standards never concern you?

The more you post the deeper the hole gets!

Jaberwok Sun 03-Mar-24 12:57:41

It's Thomas Kingston not Winston. nancynunu and Glorianny, perhaps you are unaware of how inappropriate and distasteful some of your comments are. Your cheap jibe at William and Catherine especially at this particular time was uncalled for and without any foundation. Surely you are both better than that?

Callistemon21 Sun 03-Mar-24 12:55:09

No, it's just nasty whoever they are.

Unkind, mean, unpleasant, offensive, spiteful.

Aveline Sun 03-Mar-24 12:53:33

Meghan certainly worked hard enough to catch Harry but having done that she realised that no matter how hard she worked she'd never be as important as she thought she should be. A big shock to her so she flounced and dragged Harry with her.

Glorianny Sun 03-Mar-24 12:52:20

Aveline

In this case Glorianny yes.

Oh I see because they are Royal? Sorry don't mean a thing to me.
