There are no circumstances in which we would want you to be Dave. Just wish you felt the same way about being Foreign Secretary.
😮

U tell im Urms…what a prat, thinking he can cherry pick his way through politics leaving trails of destruction behind him!

Jane71 Mon 15-Apr-24 16:51:24

I'm no fan of the Tories, but he comes over better than most of the current crop, and better than Sunak, Truss, and Johnson.

Jane71 Mon 15-Apr-24 16:52:22

Oh, should that be 'or Johnson'. I can never tell between 'and' and 'or'.

spottybook Mon 15-Apr-24 16:52:47

Well said Urms

Good

Glorianny Mon 15-Apr-24 17:06:35

Why would he? He's got the pension. He's got a title and the money that goes with it. He's got a job which lets him buzz around the world and the pay for that. He doesn't have to answer to any constituents, or do any work for them.
He's like a pig in clover.

Casdon Mon 15-Apr-24 17:19:54

Don’t mention pigs please Glorianny, it turns my stomach.

Smileless2012 Mon 15-Apr-24 18:02:11

Good job we wouldn't want him then isn't it.

M0nica Mon 15-Apr-24 18:10:07

Thank goodness for that. Just wish he had felt the same about being Foreign Secretary.

SamCam designs beautiful clothes and her online fashion videos are a complete hoot. So there’s some good in the family….

petra Mon 15-Apr-24 18:43:09

ronib
You mean like this highly original ( not) trouser suit with the badly fitted/ made trousers šŸ¤”

petra Mon 15-Apr-24 18:44:14

Forgot photo šŸ˜‚

ronib Mon 15-Apr-24 18:52:07

petra no!! When was that? Although the Ascot hats SamCam sells in partnership with another designer are eye wateringly expensive - around Ā£1,600….. so you don’t like the dresses?

TerriBull Mon 15-Apr-24 18:56:10

Moving on from Sam Cam's wardrobe Thought Mr Sam Cam had bowed out of politics when he sauntered off humming a little ditty to himself after his resignation speech.

Clearly got bored of the old Shepherd Hut/Man Cave thing he bought as somewhere to plant his weary pig in clover trotters, when he diverted his energies into the cut and thrust of lobbying for Greensill hmm What did he say back during his tenure as PM about corporate lobbyists? oh yes! he was going to put a stop to all of that yeah right!

zakouma66 Mon 15-Apr-24 19:05:25

He did untold harm to this country, through his utter arrogance.

Witzend Mon 15-Apr-24 19:20:01

Hear Hear, Urmstongran - and whatever possessed Rishi to give him any major role, after his sheer useless kcomplacency over the Brexit referendum, I will never understand.
He should have been left to disappear into the wilderness of obscurity.

LizzieDrip Mon 15-Apr-24 19:37:33

So glad he’s got no sights on the PM job … cos we don’t want him!

Iam64 Mon 15-Apr-24 19:46:26

Goddard me urmston, or eh up given comments about northern vocab/accents on other threads - we are in agreement on Cameron being Foreign Sec

I still feel v angry with Cameron about his austerity programme. Particularly about him destroying the Sure Start programme because ā€œit doesn’t reach the families who need it. In my area it’s used by families like mine who don’t need itā€. I feared I might explode as I shouted at the radio / come to Accrington, Burnley, Bolton, Rochdale etc and tell us our vulnerable families won’t benefit from Sure Start. The evidence is becoming clear
I don’t think anything he does csn rehabilitate himself I’ve my mind

no circumstances in which Cameron would be PM again

Thank goodness for that!

maddyone Mon 15-Apr-24 19:54:50

And I wasn’t happy about him being hurriedly made a Lord, and becoming Foreign Secretary either.

No circumstances in which I’d consider being PM again, says Cameron

Just a matter of time before he is then?
What would you say - he's 58 now so maybe in 15 years time?hmm
