I note that you also wrote this comment on the other thread.

Which other thread??

Sorry tickingbird! I confused the two threads!😊 You have only posted on one.

Probably because I was so annoyed at your comment.

Although denied and defended by some on here, it’s quite obviously the real reason for her shock resignation.

As a Scot, but not an SNP supporter, I thought Nicola Sturgeon did a good job during the pandemic.
That does not mean, that I have denied nor defended, I was quite annoyed when I read that comment.

Embezzlement is a crime, regardless of who you are or who your partner is.
A sorry tale indeed.

Going slightly off-piste, businessman Frank Hester must wonder what was the point of that whopping donation to Conservative Party funds - 10 millions - only for Rishi to forget to include him on his recent Easter Honours list. You would think that the PM could have spared a measly MBE........

Greed. For power and everything that goes with it. Many seem to think that they are the law, therefore it doesn’t apply to them. I sometimes wonder just how many in ‘top’ positions are squeaky clean. Probably not so many, sadly.

I often wonder why people in such positions, I’m not speaking of NS’s husband specifically, rather more of people in positions of power where they have the opportunity to embezzle money, I often wonder why they do it. They’re already well paid but still feel the needs to embezzle money. It’s not uncommon.

How very sad.

Apparently he has now been charged with embezzlement of SNP funds.

There's a similar thread

Yes indeed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The matter remains active for the purposes of the Contempt of Court Act 1981 and the public are therefore advised to exercise caution if discussing it on social media.

Interesting. I was saying only yesterday that the matter of the missing money had been quiet for some time. Presumably further evidence has come to light, though in the circumstances we mustn’t speculate.
