Interesting. I was saying only yesterday that the matter of the missing money had been quiet for some time. Presumably further evidence has come to light, though in the circumstances we mustn’t speculate.

Don’t choke on it then Oreo 🤣🤣🤣

I’ll do my best, tho I do like a good pud.🥮🥧🍰

It was suspicious several years ago when the SNP finance committee resigned en masse as they were not allowed to see the books. Since then it's all become more and more suspicious.

It has yet to be decided if there will be a prosecution and if so a couple of years before a court case.

maddyone Fri 19-Apr-24 17:47:18

It was indeed a very sudden resignation.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 19-Apr-24 11:47:36

Indeed. Fraud investigations usually take a long time unless the person charged co-operates. Whether NS knew of what he is alleged to have done, or had reason to suspect it, before he was arrested remains to be seen, but her sudden resignation suggests to me that at the very least she did not expect him to escape untarnished.

‘Good people’ are not usually arrested for embezzlement.

Then following months of investigation subsequently charged!

I believe this is all a witch-hunt harassing good people the proof will be in the pudding as they say. Independence nis growing day by day.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Which is to follow.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 19-Apr-24 11:14:16

Supporters of independence always say the movement is growing, even when presented with evidence to the contrary.

🤔

Are you saying the Scottish police are corrupt then?

And this is exactly the type of comment that tickingbird is referring to.

I thought NS did a fairly good job for Scotland during the pandemic, but as soon as she resigned so abruptly, I knew that something was brewing, and now he’s been charged. We will await the decision of the jury as to his possible guilt.
Meanwhile I think the possibility of independence for Scotland is now far less likely.

Unless they are subpostmasters that is.

Ah! When you support a Party any wrongdoing is dismissed as a ‘witch hunt’
How very convenient.

Although denied and defended by some on here, it’s quite obviously the real reason for her shock resignation.

Of course! Was there ever any doubt?

OldFrill Fri 19-Apr-24 08:59:40

Who's next ? 😁

nanna8 Fri 19-Apr-24 08:58:32

Did she know beforehand and is that the reason for her sudden resignation? I would think so but who knows ? Personally I couldn’t stand her but she was strong, I’ll give her that.

tickingbird Fri 19-Apr-24 08:50:16

Good grief, unpleasant???

Marydoll Fri 19-Apr-24 08:24:38

Please read my previous post. I have stated I DO NOT support the SNP, but thought she did a good job during the pandemic!

How unpleasant.

tickingbird Fri 19-Apr-24 08:18:20

Well just because you haven’t noticed doesn’t mean anything and you’re obviously cross because you support NS.

FWIW I wasn’t having a dig at any particular poster and I never mentioned Mr Sturgeon or what he has allegedly done. When the story first broke there were posters that attempted to dismiss suggestions this was the reason for the resignation.

Methinks you’re a trifle touchy regarding the matter.

Sorry, I’ve just read your following post.

I do, however, stand by my post. I don’t know why it annoyed you so much. The resignation is obviously linked to the investigation.

Obviously the reignation is linked and if found guilty, he should be punished.
However, I think your comment was an unnecessary dig at some posters and doesn't really add anything to the thread.

To be honest, I haven't noticed anyone defending nor denying, what he has allegedly done.
Please note, the use of the word allegedly, for this is an active case and we must be careful what we say.
