Protests today re Bibby Stockholm police injured

From The Times today. The protests are understood to have been organised by a coalition of left-wing student groups, Black Lives Matter, local refugee charities, and a group of teachers who teach migrants English.

Protesters slashed the coach tyres and jammed rental bikes under its wheels to stop it moving. Dozens were arrested which is good!.

Those protestors are cowards covering their faces. They are either supposed to be at work or they’re known troublemakers. I guess many of them couldn’t really give a damn about the migrants, they are there because they will do anything to stop the Conservatives from moving forward with this problem.

I absolutely support people’s right to “peacefully” protest AND in doing so showing their faces whilst making their points.

This does not seem to have a peaceful protest by any stretch of the imagination and I would see them in the same way as I’d see any “rent-a-mob” group, who appear to turn up at ANY given protest. I’m sure there were a few genuine people there.

I completely object the term “loony left” which implies a politically left leaning person, rather than a mob of unruly thugs!

No point in expressing my distaste about derogatory comments about migrants, most of you already know how I feel.

The group of protesters were mainly left wing students and black lives matter with some teachers of English to immigrants and assorted daftos.
More passive policing by the Met.
Arrests, yeah, but not a single migrant on board when the bus left the scene.

Some do, I believe there’s talk about all police being allowed to carry them after the incident in London on Wednesday morning which was shocking.

No, not all police carry tasers.

Then, if they use one, half the time there'd be an enquiry afterwards.

They use tasers quite a lot, for their own protection and for aggressive people threatening violence.

Her name is not Welby but is the Right Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin, the former chaplain to the late Queen and the House of Commons. and its quite clear in the photo in the article not all demonstrators were rent-a-mob or far left. Tho it's clear some are.

The people they prevented being taken to the Bibby Stockholm would be queueing up to be baptised and I expect she would be happy to oblige.

It's just my reflection that the O/P's "loony left idiots" doesn't include the genuine peaceful protestors -
so I went looking to see who was in fact really there and why and it wasn't just the rent a mob that I object to as much as anyone else.
