"UK Police May Get Ghostbusters-Style Backpacks" -The Guardian, today.

Apparently, it's to assist them in dealing with E-bike criminals.

Just one thought occurred to me: our police are already loaded down with assorted gadgets so if they have to take on this latest gimmick, will they be able to move?

I think someone at the Home Office has seen the film "RoboCop" once too often........

Well hopefully they can point the thingy at criminals and it will suck them up, just like the Ghostbusters.

Win, win.

Or will it just be a rucksack, filled with all of their ‘stuff’ ?

E-bike criminals are snatching phones from people's hands mainly in London I think. The phones are open so the criminals can access bank accounts and other information.
Just another gang of criminals the overworked police have to deal with.
