The news feeds are buzzing, July 4th mentioned - ironic.

As a dedicated, lifelong Scottish Nationalist, I hope the Independence date will be prophetic. wink

BBC announced that the music disruption was a demonstration not a party.

We need to be careful what we post wouldn’t like to be spreading fake news now would we?

It’s on Steve Bray’s own Instagram that it was him (no, I don’t follow him, it comes up on your newsfeed if you Google his name).

👍

Yes, he was the one that did all the Brexit shouting. I think he works to his own beliefs.🤷‍♀️

But yeah, PM’s may decide to do it indoors in future.

Thank you for clarifying that Casdon.

Yes gillgran disrespectful and extremely childish. I don't know who to vote for but it's unlikely to be Labour. I want a party of adults in government, not children.

It’s tradition, announcing important stuff outside direct to the people.

DiamondLily Wed 22-May-24 18:07:36

He could have just stood in the vastly expensive briefing room the Tories set up - no rain, no music.🙄

gillgran Wed 22-May-24 18:06:57

That dreadful loud music was so disrespectful, regardless of which political party, it was our prime minister speaking.

I have no idea who I will give my vote to............................................

Wyllow3 Wed 22-May-24 18:05:01

It was a political activist, not the Labour Party itself. I thought the police had forcibly removed his sound system a couple of months ago. I don’t think for a minute that Keir Starmer would approve of the disruptive action, he’s very formal about process

This.

Great news! Shame though that it is the Scottish school holidays by then and all the Universities in the country will have finished. We have a postal vote thankfully.
General election very very much needed.

This was where I saw he had been silenced - in theory.

The Euro’s Football Tournament is also on then.

And the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show! 😂
I think someone should have held an umbrella over him, and the background noise was disrespectful.

Cossy Wed 22-May-24 17:53:21

That music was awful and disrespectful but as he wasn’t answering any press questions he could have stayed dry and done it indoors.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 22-May-24 17:52:32

So right Rosies. Pathetic and disrespectful.

The D:Ream music being played so loudly was disgraceful and extremely juvenile. Not surprised really as this is the only way Labour behaves.

RS was absolutely drenched and then that awful music trying to drown him out but fortunately he just carried on. Had it been me I would have insisted I was not carrying on until the Police had stopped the music.

The music was nothing to do with Labour. Are you setting off the tory lie machine already?

I

Oh come off it.
Do you really think the playing of New Labours theme song wasn’t politically motivated?
Presumably you also believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and Fairy Godmothers

I would have worn a raincoat.

That looks a bit pervy tho 😉

Well, some sort of macho overcoat then!

Didn’t like to see him in a soaking wet jacket.

No evidence whatsoever it was any kind of LP move as opposed to someone just choosing to disrupt.

LizzieDrip Wed 22-May-24 17:50:42

Hallelujah! At last he’s putting the country out of its misery. Let the people decide👏👏👏

Calendargirl Wed 22-May-24 17:47:45

I didn’t realise what tune the music was, but thought it shouldn’t have been played, whatever it was.

Cossy Wed 22-May-24 17:47:13

And most of his speech involved slagging off the opposition. That isn’t a good look either imo.

I agree.
