In last nightâs programme we learned more about what Fiona Bruce thought than those who actually asked the questions. So infuriating!

I think Bruce was keen to ensure the politicians answered the questions - a common complaint of QT audiences that they don't. Just letting them 'answer the question' gives them ample scope to avoid answering. Bruce tries to hold them to account. I think she did quite well. The audience did well too, less so the politicians.
What I dislike about many interviewers is the way that they interpret the answer before giving politicians the chance to explain their response. If they go into a pre-prepared election soundbite then they need to be stopped, but Iâm not interested in hearing the interviewerâs view at all, only the questioner and the answer the politician gives. Yes GSM, I am a member of the Tory party but I am disillusioned and looking at alternatives. This is what thinking voters do.
Thus far I am not inspired by any party.
To preempt those who will say that thinking voters would not vote for Truss I would say that my favoured leader at the time was Penny Mordaunt but the MPs ensured that she was not in the final two. It was obvious that they had plotted a Sunak win, so many members voted for Truss as a message that we will not be manipulated.
That did not turn out well as we watched the party continue its suicide mission.
Iâm still watching and searching.
I do find Starmer boring but credible but find his likely front bench a frightening prospect but as Whitewave has pointed out it is difficult to know who will be available to form the Conservative front bench. I can only think that it couldnât be worse.
I am most likely to put my trust in Sunak who has done a better job than Iâd expected but I am still watching and listening.

Iâm getting increasingly fed up with the poor skills of the hosts of these debates, not one of them so far has been good. Surely we can do better.

No, not interested in LDs or SNP and will soon hear whether Sunak or Starmer said anything of note. Will watch the debate between Sunak and Starmer next Wednesday. May see if I can place a bet on how many times Starmer mentions his parentsâ occupations and the phone being cut off, âlest we forgetâ.
I meant to watch but was quickly fed up of Ed Davey, especially as he washed himself whiter than white over the Post Office scandal. He believed his advisors!!! Anyone with a brain could see that over 500 Post Masters/Misstresses donât suddenly turn into criminals taking money illegally taking money from the Post Office.
I was bored with SNP leader. He makes no difference to me, I donât live in Scotland and the election outcome means that no coalition will be necessary.
We turned off. I knew that whatever was discussed will be all over the media, and GN this morning. And so it is.
We caught up with programme 3 of Cold Call, which we missed the night before because our daughter and grandchildren called from NZ. They take precedence over anything else when they call.

Not much there to inspire either but quite a lot to help decide where not to place my X.

It confuses me a little because I know Starmer is tough, and brave, it is not possible to do what he has done to the labour party otherwise.

Agree Fiona Bruce appalling. May be the usual format for QT
but Iâd hoped to see the leaders able to explain their main policies and their intended direction of travel. Instead too many of the questions were raking up weak spots from the past and designed to put whoever it was on the spot. That wasnât what we wanted at this point. All in all disappointing.

Oreo I genuinely believe thatâs what it is! Judging by KSâs record (CPS etc) and the way heâs turned the LP around, heâs clearly not an indecisive man who avoids difficult issues.
But an election campaign is so febrile that an apple cart can be upset in the blink of an eyeđ

Because it looks like Labour will get a landslide, how much influence will the left have, how long will Starmer last as leader?.Pollsters said that last time and Labour had worst defeat since WWII. đ
This is not a Brexit election, Starmer does not sit on the fence.
The SNP leader, as expected, he may as well have had his Rob Roy hat on.

KS not really answering a straight question with a straight answer.
RS prepared to be honest with answers and came out fighting as he knows he may as well cos he will only be in power for the next fortnight.
Fiona Bruce, just awful all round, she seemed to think her role one of heavy sarcasm, found myself saying âgive the poor buggers a breakâ!
I havenât done a postal vote and none of this will affect my vote for Labour but just wish KS would be braver with his replies.

My worry is now and I dont even want to go into that particular topic, but generally you cant 'say nothing' in the hope of not offending a 'side'. You need to believe in things and stand by them. That is worrying me a little about Starmer.

KS put up a very poor show on the âwhat is a womanâ question I was very disappointed with him, clearly not wanting to alienate the trans lobby he managed to alienate 50% of voters, women!

Agreed Casdon. They all want to take over the interview, and score points over the interviewee. This doesnât make good listening, particularly when the questions are from the audience.
In last nightâs programme, Bruce should have shut up and passed the issue back to the questioner for further comment / interrogation etc. She did that on a just a couple of occasions - and it was much more effective than her constant interruptions.
As you say Casdon, surely we can do better!
Starmers response to the gender debate was awful. Deeply deeply sexist. Thank goodness he knows the truth when its spoken by Blair but not by the women in his party. I dont know how much longer I can hold my nose and vote for them.
