Yet more Tory sleaze

sorry, the ref hits a paywall - I got the reference and full article from googling " Tories election betting", followed a link, and hit no paywall.

From the Financial Times, today,

These people, mainly ones behind the scenes, privy to confidential information, know where the bodies are buried but without high office, are the ones responsible for so many leaks, antagonistic briefings against ministers and general trouble making.
Hopefully they will be identified and punished.

They’re not helping themselves are they? Obviously got some sort of death wish. Sometimes you wonder how people like that get elected in the first place. I have a belief that people don’t suddenly become dishonest out of the blue.

we should be careful discussing this; a person has been arrested, therefore it is sub judice.

Very foolish of anyone to do this, I understand one of Sunak’s close protection officer has been suspended for something similar. How stupid can people be?

She's the Tory candidate for my area, not that I'd ever vote Tory. What is wrong with them? Why can they not resist sleaze?
