Received my postal vote on Wednesday and completed it and placed it in letter box on Thursday. That is me doe and dusted.
I have voted in every type of election since I was permitted when I was 21years of age back in 1962. The BIG beak this time, is that for the very first time I did NOT vote Labour. They have moved so far to the right that they are just the new Conservatie |Party (each time the Tories stepped further right, Starmars LP has taken up their original position).,
So, the idea of 'strategic voting' for their local candidate stuck in my throat. Discussion with of my children (all brought up as good socialists), and a grand son, persuaded me that such strategic voting was perpetuing the 'First Past the Post'system which is so very, very undemocratic.
My vote, proudly, went The Greens, as I really do suppoort a very large part of their aims, etc.
