Women and their safe spaces maybe protected by the equality act in theory, but not always in practice which is why an intact male with a GRC can enter women's safe spaces. Which is why biological men can unfairly compete against biological women in sport. Which is why a lesbian dating event was temporarily closed down by trans women, complaining that they were not allowed to attend.

The equality act is to ensure equality, there is nothing 'equal' in the aforementioned. The trans community aren't afforded any fewer rights than anyone else but unfortunately for those who just want to live their lives in peace, a small minority of this minority group want their perceived 'rights' to be more important than the rights of biological women.

When the general character of the thread is "women against trans" that is the issue I have with it because that is not "trans acceptance" is it?

Can we have one positive thread? Trans person in the news accomplished something? Someone opened a refuge? Someone built a building with a gender neutral option for toileting? Anything? Because I haven't seen a single one unless I started it and those threads did not go well so I gave up

It is a shame focus isn't given for cervical screening to be accessible for all biologically born females and instead it just turns into another trans debate. There are literally thousands of biologically born females who do not find cervical screening in its current form accessible. We should have been discussing that decades ago.

Again, it has been stated that the majority accept there is space for trans people just not in biological women's spaces.
And as you well know the Equality Act is adapted to suit whoever the judge, police, politician as to there beliefs that day.

I can empathise, I can educate myself, I can stand up for the rights of literally any body to be and live in that body as they want to.
I don’t see why just women are the ones obliged to adapt to, budge up, or collectively provide a safe haven for any cause that would have women relinquish space, be it figuratively or literally.

this is the only issue in this debate if debate it be, that I, personally don’t accept.

All of the rights in law, employment, healthcare, or any other rights that have been gained thus far by those women who came before me, are there by their own persistent efforts over many years, - and it is still not over, as there is much still to strive for.

Now me keeping my space doesn't mean someone else cannot have any... And that is what leaves me disillusioned by these threads. I have been told so many times that women should not have to help come up with solutions to resolve issues... Actually yes we should, that's a moral responsibility. Life has taught me over and over that when people come together against a problem rather than blaming it on the other party, that's when we see real genuine positive change. Otherwise it is nothing more or less than a temper tantrum...

It's true that you don't actually twist people's words to mean what you think they mean, but what you do do - when posters say they are not anti-trans, is imply by your responses that they are no matter how many times it's pointed out that there is one issue, and one only, that concerns us, and apart from that one we believe they should have the same rights, dignity and respect as anyone else.
