The midwives attending me when I had my son were young and clearly very inexperienced. He was fortunate to survive. They really didn’t know what to do when I was in obstructed labour. Fortunately a doctor realised that an emergency c section was needed. That was in a brand new maternity unit in 1985.

It doesn’t make for easy reading 😡
I feel so angry because I’ve been lucky enough to have wonderful midwives in my life for many many years.
