Where is Nigel Farage?

Our MP keeps us informed as to what she’s doing on her Facebook page. She feels she’s taking us on a journey with her. Currently sorting out details for her constituency headquarters ( we haven’t had a Labour MP for a long time) which she wants to be welcoming to everyone, especially those with special needs. She’s already had one public meeting and is often seen out and about supporting local businesses and charities.

Get regular emails from our MP. He didnt see Trump, but presumably is en route back to the UK.

I'm not sure how anyone here knows what he is doing. Do you live in Clacton? Do you know what your own MP is doing?

What job? He gets paid a great sum of money and that's the only reason he stood.
He has lots of business links to the US, so I think that was his real reason (excuse?) for being there.
Reform is a limited company and not a political party- don't people realise this?
People like Farage because, like Trump, he doesn't give a flying fart about anyone else including those who voted for him, and some people seem to think this is an attractive trait?

I had a grudging respect for him with the way he was so energetic and giving interesting speeches before the election. Not any more, he is not doing his job is he?

We have a State pension that we pay into during our working lives which is based on our contributions and there's also a means tested top up for those who don't get a full pension and have no other income. I think this is different to your system and I have given a very simple outline of ours.

The state pension here is means tested, you have to have a fairly low income to receive it. As it should be. We get nothing and just have to accept that. The problem is that we don’t get help with an else like medical expenses, rates etc. as those on a state pension do. I am surprised the British don’t do the same, they are losing a lot of potential income which could go towards other services.

I thought this thread was about Farage, but it seems to have morphed into a Trump thread.

Maizie D i really dont care if you dont value my opinion, that cuts both ways. I am simply saying you dont seem to have an ounce of compassion. Quite honestly, and I do not know your political affiliations, .i do find lefties generally have no toleration for those who do not support their views.

I think there are a lot of very wealthy people who don’t need their pensions . They have their wealth elsewhere . Those people .

Now that Trump is on the up and seemingly surviving court cases Farage is probably regretting his UK turnaround. Probably thinking that there are more opportunities across the water. He wants a foot in both camps.

Sexual abuse
And 34 counts of falsifying business records which is a felony.
Farage looked a bit lost when he was interviewed in the USA.
I doubt Trump had time for him.

That is correct but it hasn’t stopped him being nominated as the Republican candidate for the Presidency. Unbelievable.

The idea of means-testing has been floated around for years.

I doubt he's alone - I bet there are very many supporters who feel the same. Something I think Trump is acutely aware of.

Depressing isn't it? Facts can't compete with swagger, emotive exhortations to make America Great Again - or 'colourful' personalities.

Courage is shown by people deliberately going into positions of certain danger. Trump didn't do that, it was hurried away from it...

As for 'carrying on', it was a nicked ear, FGS, not a debilitating injury. 🙄
