One of France’s best known actors.

Was he with Brigitte Bardot, or am I mixing him up with someone else?

No, Brigitte Bardot was with Roger Vadim for a while. Alain Delon had lots of relationships, but apparently the love of his life was Romy Schneider. A long life, fully lived. An icon of 50s french films and the epitome of glamour to me

No. He wasn't. The Samurai was one of hist best.

He was so beautiful but then I've always had a penchant for pretty boys. Plus he loved dogs and had a cemetery for them in the grounds of his home where he also had a chapel built. He obtained permission to be buried near his dogs.

I'm hoping that the Beeb or someone will show some of his films.
