Baroness Warsi has left the Conservative Party

Not sure why it has taken so long and I never understood why she was a Conservative until I listened to her interview on TRIP’s Leading. But it just goes to show how far to the right the party has gone when someone as faithful to them as she has been feels she can no longer support them.

Didn’t she have a falling out with someone in the Party? I seem to remember reading about it a while ago.

She jumped before she was pushed
She was being investigated for "devised language" she was told about it at the beginning of the week.
Then makes her excuses why, she was leaving.

John Major was on TV talking to Amol Rajan & he was deploring how far the Conservatives have moved to the right. Suggested some of the quite high profile names of recent years' more natural home is Reform. (but I think they know they won't make a career with them)

Baroness Warsi is still a member of the Conservative Party, she said so herself in a TV interview this morning.

She has relinquished the party whip in the H of L’s
