So if you can’t afford a heat pump, or your house is not suitable you don’t get free electricity in December 2025 or 6 hours of cheaper rates 365 days per year.
But you may be making up the shortfall from payments by those who do get that free electricity or cheaper rates.

There are many and various tariffs, so a separate heat pump tariff isn't significant. In order to get take up there has to be incentives as it's no mean investment.
There's quite a simple way of checking if your radiators will give out enough heat, just Google it for more info.
I'm more concerned about how badly the countryside/farmland is endangered by wind turbines and battery storage facilities.

They asked how many radiators, but only asked about the size of the pipes to the radiators.

It seems that those, who can’t afford heat pumps, are doomed to paying more for our electricity than those who can.
A sneaky way of benefitting the rich whilst handicapping the poor.

Mollygo if you are considering buying a heat pump please be aware that most radiators aren’t big enough to make the heat pump effective. A guideline is that radiators need to be 2.5 times larger which to me would be out of the question.

No idea. They did say the last government, so presumably this government too, would give me a discount but I still can’t afford it.

I just want to know if all those without a heat pump are going to pay more for the shortfall?

What makes me ask?

When we got a water meter, our payments went from £72 pm to £10 pm.

I asked then, where would the missing money come from if lots more people got a meter and their payments reduced.
Guess what?
The water costs have just gone up.

Would our fuel costs go up even more to replace the lower payments for those with heat pumps?

How long will it take you to get back your original investment of £14000 ?
