Boris Gets Deleted For Shameless Promotion Of His Book

Boris was unceremoniously shunted off the discussion panel of a US Election Special when he kept holding up a copy of "his" book (and the rumours that it's been 'ghost-written' won't go away) and just blatantly advertising it. In a debate about American politics?
He ignored warnings not to do this, so he was cancelled, pronto.

A man who knows no shame......

Does anyone need to buy his book. Wasn't it serialised in the DM?

You're not allowed to read the DM if you belong to GN.

Perhaps he was fed up of the obvious bias so decided to have some fun by winding her up - looked to me like he was enjoying himself!

Millie22 Thu 07-Nov-24 11:25:41

I really liked Boris. He was a great PM through very difficult times.

Alexander Boris Johnson - shameless self promotion: surely not...😏.
And BevSec, Mr Johnson managed to knife himself in the back - lying to Parliament ring any bells?

Don’t be silly! Poor old Boris, setup for no reason, just like poor old Donald!

He was not on the show to promote his book, so unprofessional behaviour from him, apparently he kept on even after he had been told not do so.
Emily Maitlus also swore, was reprimanded, correctly, by Krishnan Guru- Murthy and disappeared from the show, she didn’t return.
It all sounds very dramatic, wish I’d been watching!

So do I! Sounds awfully entertaining!

I have listened to his book on Audible and to be fair it wasn’t bad. I’m sure he wrote it as it’s exactly as he speaks if this makes sense. He made a good job of reading it too. Of course nothing that happened was his fault and believe me I’m not a fan of his, I just love books on politics.

And we now have another Boris in the White House appealing to the worst of human nature. God help us all

Grantanow Thu 07-Nov-24 12:23:30

Quite right he was dismissed from the programme. If I wanted to read his book (I doubt I will) I would wait for it to be remaindered or buy it for a Pound on eBay in a year or so. No point in adding to the Buffoon's cash pile.

BJ couldn't spell professional, never mind act in a professional manner.

You're not allowed to read the DM if you belong to GN.

You are allowed to read what you want- but we are all allowed to tell you why you should not. And the evidence against the DM is massive, and historical.

I watched it- he mentionned his dreaded book every single sentence (nonsense) he uttered.

Wow!
We are to say whatever we like about the DM, the Times, the Telegraph or any media, but allowed to tell posters what they should or should not do?
That’s a bit strong, even for GN.

Only he knows the "real" Boris

Millie22, so did I. He had charisma, and I felt he really cared. I really do not get that feeling of caring from this present shower.

Your ignorant bias is showing , professional journalists do not need ghost writers

sazz1 Thu 07-Nov-24 14:35:26

I liked Boris. He helped lots of businesses keep afloat in the pandemic, also eat out to help out, extra money for poor people etc. Rishi had everyone on strike as he couldn't negotiate.
Kier has broken almost every election promise including inheritance tax on farmers, scrapped WFP so many people will die this winter, increased Uni fees said he would abolish them, increased NI for employers and by raising triple lock we will all pay tax on pensions in a couple of years because of the freeze on personal allowance.
I know who I prefer.

I have his book as OH bought it for me. Gives quite an incite into how politics works and about how he started out. It is a very long book so will get me to sleep for countless nights to come grin

GrauntyHelen Thu 07-Nov-24 15:26:00

Good enough for him !

Grunty Thu 07-Nov-24 15:38:54

This wins the prize for the most arrogant, self-righteous, controlling, pain-in-the-arse post I've ever read. And says far more about it's author than any publication by Boris Johnson or the Daily Mail.

I did think that Rishi Sunak was Chancellor of the Exchequeur at that time?

Perhaps I'm misremembering.

It was a joke.
Sorry if you that went over the top of your head!

You are allowed to read what you want- but we are all allowed to tell you why you should not.
But I am assuming that was not posted in a similarly jocular fashion.
I could be wrong, however, and would be happy to be told otherwise!

HousePlantQueen Thu 07-Nov-24 17:22:31

Why is everyone taking offence when none is intended, why is everything so bad tempered on this thread?
