This is what I found puzzling, where are all the other experts who we were told pre election were ready and waiting to jump aboard GB Energy?

Have you read the full article GG13?

His relationship to NESO does not surprise me in the slightest. He is a fanatic, and as such, incapable of considering the subject rationally.

I think where green energy is concerned we need a zealot otherwise we will keep on pandering to the fossil fuel industries who really don't care about the future, only their short term profits.

I also, like Mamie, don't understand why public ownership is "undemocratic".

Mmmm, that’s interesting GrannyGravy.
Doesn’t sound very democratic.
I think EM is completely the wrong person to be in charge of our Green Energy programme as I think he is a zealot. He is incapable of considering the repercussions for the population, especially the poor.

Public ownership isn't democratic? Can you explain what you mean by that?

www.neso.energy/news/national-energy-system-operator-neso-launches-1-october

"Energy Secretary Ed Miliband has confirmed today that the National Energy System Operator (NESO) will launch on 1 October following the government agreeing to acquire the Electricity System Operator (ESO) from National Grid, transferring the ESO into public ownership.
As NESO, we'll be a new independent organisation responsible for planning Britain’s entire energy system, operating the electricity network and offering expert advice to the energy sector’s decision makers."

I think your post is a bit misleading?

I totally agree that something has to be done about saving the planet.

I am not sure that EM advising himself is the way forward…
