Biden’s last fling? I am concerned and hope we can just stay out of it but knowing our government, we will be sucked down the tubes with the Americans. Moving to Tasmania is starting to look attractive. Trump will be less aggressive than Biden.

Best not to worry. I’m not.

Oh I am so pleased for you. Do you have children or grandchildren?

OldFrill - yes, they are.

3 adult children. 6 adult children + 1 teenage grandchild and 1 great grandchild.
Not one of them is even remotely concerned, like me.
Some people must be very bored or crave a bit of excitement in their lives. Sad really.

War on the horizon? Russia mass producing fallout shelters as Russia says it has the right to respond with nukes if attacked by a country supported by a nuclear capable country.

Someone is cutting the big data cables bottom of ocean between Finland and Europe. Only Russia would do such. Also cut off Estonia.

Nothing to see here. 🤦🏼‍♀️
World war 111 my arse.

Biden's term in office is coming to an end. Is it a coincidence that he's waited until now or is it because he'll no longer be POTUS if and when it all kicks off?

it is not Trump escalating this but Biden

I was really referring to Trump's claim he would stop the war...Biden is playing the strong man against Putin because that's all he knows.

Plus he doesn't want to sell Ukraine down the river once Trump gets in and Putin rolls over for the orange one to tickle his tummy.

I have both Fleurpepper but see little point in worrying about something over which I have no control, so try not too.

The situation is so dire now, that you can make every decision 'not to worry' - but your brain knows better.

You can try not to.

Perhaps this is worse for those of us who have our favourite loved ones abroad. What is happening now was warned about in the 70s and 80s - about proliferation and MAD only working for one generation- until madmen got involved. But most laughed and ignored. And here we are. And we have a LOT of madmen with nuclear arms now, and any of them could start it all.

I don't worry about myself- and I have the means to get out of that situation at anytime. But yes, I do worry for my ACs and especially GCs, with a life ahead of them. However much you 'try not to worry' - at 4am your brain will remind you.

I don't see how continual fretting about a potential horrible scenario is going to change anything of course everyone has concerns for children and grandchildren most of their lives are before them, unlike our generation.

I believe everyone was dead worried about the Cuban Missile Crisis when I was growing up, but that went right over my head, ignorance was bliss, I was still at junior school at the time, I'm glad I knew nothing about it, .

Anyone watched 'Threads'? A film about a nuclear attack on Britain and what happens to the unlucky survivors.

Hello 👋 Aber 57, yes, I rewatched Threads recently. It terrified me 40 years ago and it terrifies me now. A living death for the unlucky survivors.

Five children, eight grandchildren, I learnt many years ago that there is little point worrying over things you cannot control or do anything about.

All it does it bring you down, whilst others carry on regardless, so that is what I do carry on regardless

British Missiles have been fired from Ukraine.

Sick of this subject being talked up, there's nothing anyone can do, completely out of our hands, but thanks a bunch Biden and his administration. Not that I'd vote for Trump but Biden's been dreadful and why do this now???

I've always wondered about the likes of certain billionaires who have so called nuclear bunkers at their disposal. What sort of friggin' world do they think they'll emerge into?. How do they expect to farm? eventually their supplies will run out. Mad entitled fools, whatever their status is now, that won't matter a one iota, it'll be a dog eat dog world sustainable life will have broken down and whatever is out there will be some nightmare anarchic scenario. Who wants that!?

Russian fallout shelters wont do any good if Putin starts a nuclear war, he'll be signing a death warrant for his own country as well as the rest of the world.

Who'd want to survive a nuclear war anyway; I wouldn't.

Yes very worrying. So much for Trump being the saviour of the human race.

These actions are nothing to do with POTUS elect Trump.

It was POTUS Biden who gave the go head for Ukraine to use ATACMS (USA supplied long range missiles) along with supplying land mines.

He and he alone (or whoever is pulling his strings) has escalated the situation between Ukraine and Russia.
