Yes, it's wrong of Biden to pardon his son and it's wrong of Trump to ensure that he gets pardoned but that's America for you.

I did not expect it Foxie - and I'm saddened by it.

I read it's from 2014 to 2024 because there have been lots of new digging about in the 2014-2015 period.

Whilst I think his crimes probably wouldn't have been investigated if he wasn't "a Biden" I still think it's wrong of Biden to have pardoned him.

I think it stinks. It doesn’t matter to Biden because he won’t be back, but it does matter to the future chances of the Democrats. I hope he is roundly condemned by them for doing this.

Agree. As CNN comments

"President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter deepened an entanglement of politics and the rule of law that has tarnished faith in American justice and is almost certain to worsen in Donald Trump’s second term".

Only in the USA 💁

The US is a country run by billionaires for billionaires and despite Biden's assertion that he wouldn't pardon his son, everyone expected him to do just that. Incredible!

Glad I don’t live there. One rule for the rich, one for the poor, heh?

I find it all extremely worrying! God help us all, especially next year with Musk pulling his strings and causing trouble across the western world with his “stirring” posts!

POTUS Biden is morally wrong to have done this.

POTUS Trump is, well just unbelievable!

I completely agree!

Biden is morally wrong to pardon his son. I see the pardon. Ru a to December 2024, which raises the question is there more not yet publicised.

Trump is morally wrong.

I’m afraid keeepingquiet is correct and that Musk is a malign force here - in fact he’s a bit Bond Villain with world wide negative disruptive influences

keepingquiet Mon 02-Dec-24 08:46:06

They are both wrong, but what's good for the goose?

US politics is a hot-bed of corruption and we'll be further on our way if Musk has anything to do with it.

Despite repeatedly saying he would never do this as he believed in justice, President Biden has granted his son, Hunter, an official pardon on gun and tax evasion charges, despite Hunter pleading guilty. Up pops Trump howling about the abuse and gross miscarriage of justice!! People in glass houses.............
