Captain of Crystal Palace has been censured for adding ‘I love Jesus’ to his rainbow armband.
Meanwhile a team mate has been allowed not to wear a rainbow armband at all, as he is a Muslim and does not wish to participate in this compulsory show of support to the LGBTQIA cause. Why the double standards ?

Why are they wearing these armbands anyway?
What does it have to do with football matches?

I agree with you Allira but what's wrong with having 'I love Jesus' on a rainbow armband? I thought the whole point was inclusivity!!!

Nothing at all.

It is double standards.

Especially during Advent - whose decision was this?

It was the FA which threatened to punish Guéhi for writing the Jesus Loves You message on his armband.
The Prince of Wales is President of the FA.
The Prince of Wales's father is HM Charles III
HM Charles III is Supreme Governor of the Church of England and Defender of the Faith.

Interesting.

The FA bans all religious messaging on kit.

It has agreed to rainbow armbands, but nobody is forced to wear them.

Guéhi knew the rules, but chose to ignore them. He was warned and nothing will happen. No big deal.
