Afghan women are being removed from Afghan society!

Perhaps the Taliban rather than all Afghan men. We don't know the range of views, and men sympathetic to women having an education and taking part in life more fully can expect to be imprisoned or worse.

It's a good question however. What are they frightened of?

I've just signed the petition and hope that in due course life will return to some normality. It's horrendous! What a waste of intelligent women. It's hard to believe in todays supposedly modern world. What are the Afghan men scared of for heaven's sake?

Just caught the end of an interview on woman’s Hour on the subject of next months cricket match in Lahore and the debate around it.
Someone from amnesty was also talking about the Afghan women’s cricket team. Rather think if they still exist they definitely won’t be playing

Just seen online that The Telegraph is reporting 160 MPs are calling for England Cricket Team not to play Afghanistan next month.

Well done to those MPs , but why aren’t the rest in f them signing and/or voice their concern.

I donated a small sum to this charity because I feel it will help more directly that signing a petition.

Raising awareness is really importnant though and I'm wondering what more can be done to help these women (and boys) trapped in this awful regime?
