GB news currently reports what Farage said before the elections on Tommy Robinson

"However, tensions rose when Musk came out in support of campaigner and former English Defence Leader Tommy Robinson, someone who both Farage and Richard Tice have distanced themselves from.

Farage said: "Everyone says, well, what about [Musk's] comments on Tommy Robinson? Look, my position is perfectly clear on that. I never wanted Tommy Robinson to join UKIP, I don't want him to join Reform UK, and he won't be."
"He later said: "Musk sees Robinson as one of these people that fought against the grooming gangs...the truth is Tommy Robinson is in prison not for that, but for contempt of court."

"We're a political party aiming to win the next general election. He's not what we need."

In a bit of a quandary here but trying to bear in mind "my enemy's enemy is not necessarily my friend"

Musk knows everything, of course, about any thing, so it must be true, surely??

Could it really be as petty as Farage not immediately agreeing with Musk on Robinson? Surely more to it than that?

Tommy Robinson to lead the Reform party? 😲

I had to laugh 🤣🤣🤣. Reform now needs a new leader.

I wonder if Musk has been seduced by the smooth talking Tice? This morning Tice was on one tv channel and Farage on another. As a party of only several MP’s they get a disproportionate amount of airtime imo.

Popcorn at the ready!

How insulting Farage will help Musk win friends on the right in the UK I don’t understand. I think Musk has lost the plot - or he thinks the future lies with Tommy Robinson.

Too many big egos

the detail (same reports in all papers at this point)

Elon Musk has called for Nigel Farage to be replaced as leader of Reform UK, just weeks after it was claimed the multi-billionaire was in talks to donate a large sum to the party
In a post on his social media site X, Musk said Farage "doesn't have what it takes" to lead the party

Farage defended Musk to the BBC on Sunday, saying "free speech was back", after the tech entrepreneur attacked the UK government's response to grooming gangs.

The Reform UK leader has distanced himself from Musk's support for Tommy Robinson, a far-right activist who is serving a jail term in the UK for contempt of court.

"It is unclear what has compelled Musk to turn on Farage"

"Speaking to the BBC's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Farage described Musk as a "friend" and said he planned to "have a conversation with him on a variety of things" - including Robinson - at the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.

Farage has maintained close ties Trump, who has brought Musk on as an adviser."

What a lot of nonsense it all is.

Musk, Trump, Farage and the like seem to have all the maturity of 14 year olds.

That's an insult to 14 year olds!

I loathe Musk, but this really made me giggle! Might just take awful smug look from Farage’s face, just for a moment!
