Refirm? Reform!

Strange man, Musk but he might actually be right. Could you see Nigel as PM ? Very energetic, fantastic speaker etc but somehow not quite the right image. Shades of a used car salespersons ?

I don’t know what Refirm would be without Farage in charge though, it’s his baby, the frontman, and he is personally the reason why so many like Reform. I don’t think Musk understands that.

Maybe I too would like to know what Reforms policies are. Apart from anti-immigration. No-one here has ever been able to enlighten me.

The manifesto (contract) on which people voted has been withdrawn, as it was described as Liz Truss on stilts. So imagine that snd you get an idea of their economic policy.

Disastrous!

NannyJan I did understand from their manifesto at election time that one plank of their education plan is for government to tell universities what they may/ may not teach ( possibly related to their " anti woke" agenda)
I found the idea of Mr L Anderson setting the curriculum for universities amusing, but a little alarming - self knowledge seems missing from his party.

It’s amazing anyone would support either of them - both self centred arrogant misogynistic fools

All his spouting of U.K. independence and sovereignty doesn’t sit well with ar*e licking Trump and Musk and encouraging their interference in U.K. politics. Complete hypocrite.

Indeed.
He can hardly say that the UK need to take back control whilst toadying up to a foreign president and his advisor, encouraging their interference.

What promises are they and how are they going to rescue the country. Can you explain their economic policy to me please?

mum2three Mon 06-Jan-25 04:32:46

'Doesn't have what it takes to lead the party'? That is true of Keir Starmer and now he is ruling the country (although not for much longer if reports are to be believed).

I don't think it matters who leads Reform UK so long as they stick to their promises and rescue our country.

Could it really be as petty as Farage not immediately agreeing with Musk on Robinson? Surely more to it than that?

Musk is an expert in various technologies and has a legion of admirers who appear to think that the vast wealth his expertise has given him equates to a super-intelligence.

His money has given him a voice via his platform. Why should anyone listen to him anymore than any other tech-wizzard? And why does he appear to think we should?

If he had the capacity for critical-thinking, and if he understood British political and cultural life, he would understand exactly why Farage has distanced himself from Robinson.

Could it really be as petty as Farage not immediately agreeing with Musk on Robinson?

We shall see!

I think personally Musk is on a mission. In Germany, too...

I know it's a typo Wyllow but for a minute I thought Richard Tice had dumped Oakeshott for Rupert Lowe and they had decided to live as one.

😂
Now wouldn’t that be something!

A favourite blog quote:

Nigel Farage has demanded people stop referring to nationwide anti-immigrant far-right disturbances as the Farage Riots, insisting it is an unfair characterisation based on nothing more than him loudly encouraging the sentiment behind them all.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 05-Jan-25 20:54:20

Farage has flirted with the far-right/fascists throughout his life, right from a young child, he has only distanced himself in recent years because he had his eye on parliament, and understands that far-right links would win him no votes.

Very little research will soon throw up the links.

The Daily Mail article is pretty revealing

comments on who Musk thinks should be leader - Richard Lowe

The only reason Farage is distancing himself from Robinson is that he has to pretend that they don’t share the same political beliefs even though they do.

Exactly.

Just interested, there isn’t any evidence to suggest that NF shares anything with TR including ‘ the same political beliefs’ so where are you coming at this from?
Like him or loathe him NF just this morning told Laura Kuennsberg that he doesn’t agree with Elon Musk about Robinson and wasn’t afraid to say so even if that meant annoying Musk, which it evidently did.Tbh I think NF should distance himself from Musk as much as possible.

This is actually becoming quite comical.

Make Britain Great.

Take Back Control.

We want our country back.

Britain is Broken.

Echoes of Python alright.

Labour government are full of soundbites too.

Farage is clearly the best leader for Reform, and the best PM for the UK.

How I agree with you, .i so hope that does come about.

Farage did stick to his principles by turning away from the $$$s and saying no 🎲

Has he though FGT? Where does it say that Farage has ‘turned away’ from Musk’s money?

So far, all we’ve heard is Musk criticising Farage - not Farage turning away from Musk.

FlitterMouse Sun 05-Jan-25 19:57:25

Ah, but he always saw the EU as a vehicle to fiddle the system and make money for himself as the Led By Donkeys video explains. The one principle he and Musk share is the love of money and we know what that's the root of .
