I can’t imagine anybody would be interested in Aunty Ethel as quoted by me or more impressed because Uncle Fred thinks x, y or Z.
If I wanted to quote a reputable source verbatim I would post a link.

Well, a lot of research and time has been taken to produce the post above. Why would I take even more time, having checked it carefully, to re-write it in other/my words. That would be nonsense. I copied the whole post, including the intro- nothing about a friend of mine, as such.

I can’t remember the details but Trump did say that Panama weren’t abiding to the terms of a signed Treaty.

I’m sure he’ll work something out that’s more advantageous to American when he’s in negotiations.

'Reclaim' and 'rightful' are the words that worry me. And it wasn't a speech but a repetitive rant. He can carry on in that vein for hours.

The Panama Canal cuts through the centre of Panama, it doesn’t border any other countries, it is an integral part of Panama, and its use is controlled by Panama. USA can negotiate a deal directly with Panama. What purpose does it serve before even attempting to do that to be so aggressive towards another sovereign country, and p off China too?

In one GG13 that’s what Trump said about the Panama Canal.

So how might a slightly weakened China play out in the current world stage?

If Panama hadn’t relied so heavily on America to build the canal, there might be some argument to say that China shouldn’t be given preferential shipping rates. As it is, America could be thought to be protecting its own interests. I think we should hold off judgement until we have a fuller understanding.

China has no profit in the Panama Canal that’s misinformation .

China has given Panama most preferential status which means Panamanian registered ships get preferential treatment in Chinese ports, and Chinese registered vessels get preferential treatment in Panama.

As I have already mentioned one of the first acts he signed was to take away affordable medicine and affordable health care . He is devious and evil . So under the cloak of dangerous international sabre rattling he is undermining those Americans that need health care the most .
