and yes, 1933 comes to mind. And a few here will be delighted and applaud.

The KuKluxKlan have been distributing flyers all over Kentucky warning immigrants to leave before it is too late.

Now THAT is truly shocking.

AGAA4 Fri 24-Jan-25 16:10:59

Trump is an immigrant too! There is German in his family and I think his mother was Scottish.

Trump made clear his intentions, so the illegals have had plenty of warning....and now that warning is being repeated.
People have to learn that they can't just go and live in any country they please. They need to go through the proper procedures. If they are refused, they must accept it.

You sound a very compassionate and empathetic human being!

Have you ever been to the USA? Have you any understanding of how many businesses on the West Coast rely on Mexicans and Hispanic people?

Do you know how absolutely evil the KKK are?

Well, he was born in the U.S.A.

AGAA4 Fri 24-Jan-25 16:20:02

He was born in the USA as are those he wants to stop having citizenship even though they were born there. Fortunately a judge has put a stop to that for now.

It isn't simply a case of living wherever they please (and incidentally, please remember that the USA was founded by largely European people who did just that). Of course, if they're legally refused, they should accept that ruling - but they should not have to accept the blind hatred (and worse) that they're currently receiving at the hands of the descendants of (largely white) immigrants. It would do a lot of people a lot of good to learn something about American (& European) history before coming to a properly considered opinion.

I sometimes wonder what the Native Americans, who were there first in case anyone had forgotten, think of trump and his shenanigans

First the Church, now the Judiciary.

The flyers also include a recruitment pitch for new KKK members. What on earth is happening!!!

They are old men and need fresh blood.
If they were so popular as some scare mongers here would like us to believe they wouldn’t need to advertise.
It’s simply really.
Doesn’t need a lot of brain matter to work that out.

Claremont, what a ridiculous statement, who in their right mind would agree with KKC. Hope you are never on a jury.

Boz Fri 24-Jan-25 16:37:04

Isn't the KKK all about White Supremacy? Blacks are just slaves to them and have to be kept in place.

KKK are coming out of the woodwork now Trump is Potus. I think they would like anyone who is non white to leave not just illegal immigrants.
They are a very sinister organisation.

All white Americans are descended from immigrants.
Strange, that 🤔

Well that means Trump will have to appoint another Secretary of State ( Hispanic) and the vice president will have to ditch his wife and to children ( wife Asian children mixed race)
How’s that going to work.
Let’s not forget the black Supreme Court judges.
For those who don’t know what that is: is the highest court in the land who will pass judgment on people appealing this ruling
Can’t see that working.

I think we must have read Claremont's thread differently.. I thought she was saying how awful the KKK were...

So in your opinion is ok for the KKK to issue these warnings?
Is ok for white supremacist vigilantes to take the law into their own hands, and believe me this will just be the start, so that illegal migrants get the message??
Lamentable response but then didn’t you support Tommy Robinson on another thread?

Members of certain tribes have already been detained by I.C.E.

Babs03 Fri 24-Jan-25 17:23:03

Trump’s father was with the KKK.

Scratch the surface and the ugly face of racism emerges .
I've heard some appalling racist remarks from some of my neighbours .
Did the Klu Klux Klan ever really disband ?

On what grounds?

rafichagran Fri 24-Jan-25 17:33:33

I can't say I am offended by the original post, after all we have posters on here who state they like Trump.
If they like Trump they are supporting a racist, it was only a matter of time before the racists come out from under their stone in the USA, and the KKK does not suprise me.

I was just thinking that too! The KKK are abhorrent and so is saying that some GN members here will be happy about it.

Babs03 Fri 24-Jan-25 17:41:11

I imagine that despite some robust discussions on here regarding immigration, especially illegal immigration, that there will be a very small to vanishing percentage who would support the KKK.
This is on a whole different level.

Barleyfields Fri 24-Jan-25 17:42:25

That wouldn’t surprise me Babs. I noticed that on another thread we have a poster claiming that Trump’s (annd Farage’s) values are those of decent people and that we should all get ourselves educated. I didn’t dignify it with a response. What Trump is doing/permitting is appalling. That we have among our cohort here people who support and apparently applaud such beliefs is horrific. Is this what we might expect should Reform get into power?

Barleyfields Fri 24-Jan-25 17:43:29

That was a response to Babs 17.23.03.

Yes, I doubt that anyone on here would support the KKK.

It was a somewhat goady comment and unnecessary.
The 1933 comments was rather obscure too as the USA had a Democrat as POTUS then. Or is it because the Communists accused FDR of being a fascist?
