as he agrees to deliver a massive number of bombs for the IDF- so they can clear the country.

Are they planning the Ben Gurrion Canal yet- was it was this is all about, as some suspected a long time ago.

Call me cynical andpessimistic. Where on earth are they supposed to go?

Allira Wed 12-Feb-25 18:06:05

then WHAT next?
And again - silence.

Isn't this a chat forum, not a United Nations think tank?

Again, if

Two State solution no longer possible

and

Palestinians must not be evicted from Gaza (and the West Bank, I am sure)

then WHAT next? It won't end well, not for anyone!

And again - silence.

Thank goodness for reporters like Victoria Derbyshire, Here she is asking a simple question to one of Trump's minions- and she get no answer either

Would you have been on the side of the Jews post WWII?

When they were forced to leave their homes in the middle east and Africa?

I'm sure you would have been

Rula Wed 12-Feb-25 17:48:45

Did that take you a long time?!

Israeli children need to be very aware of the dangers of their home. Missiles, bombs, buses being blown up etc etc

Before Oct 7th, life was quite calm in Gaza. People could go about their business. People come over from Gaza to work or for medical treatment.

Main thing is though, they aren't wanting all Arabs to be annihilated.

Israel’s school textbooks propagate racism and extremism among its children.

Nurit Peled-Elhanan examined 17 Israeli school textbooks and exposed their indoctrination and cultivation of anti-Arab racism.

Inculcation of anti-Palestinian ideology in the minds of Israel’s youth is achieved in the books through the use of exclusion.

When they mention Palestinians it is in an overwhelmingly negative and demeaning light.

Palestinians are often depicted negatively as terrorists, refugees and primitive farmers.

Israeli murderers are celebrated as heroes.

Israeli textbooks use military-related terminology to instill a combat mindset.

The majority of Israeli crimes against Palestinians are not mentioned.

Some textbooks downplay or justify Israeli crimes against Palestinians.

Gaza becoming a UN Protectorate could be a solution but Guterres has rejected this idea for some reason.

Whoever becomes resopnsible for Gaza has got to enforce security internal and external, UN would not have a prayer doing that.

Probably right.

Guesses - It would now bring the UN into conflict with the USA? Have to have agreement of both Israel and Gazan's?

And neither Jordan or Egypt want a hostile Trump.

Absolutely Oreo - however its clear Trump cannot impose his "clearance" idea and accepted this "balance".

More from the article vis a vis Jordan being host to millions more:

"According to the UN, Jordan already hosts more than 2 million Palestinian refugees.

Observers furthermore assume that around half of the 11 million population in Jordan has Palestinian roots.

Taking in Palestinians is also widely considered as the end of a two-state-solution with an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel, which is Jordan's key demand.

In addition, it will set a precedent for forced displacement in the West Bank, van Veen warned.

"In that sense, I think Trump is underestimating how existential that issue is for Jordan," van Veen told DW."

Trump and Jordan -in the much awaited meeting re Jordan taking huge numbers:

"The much-anticipated meeting between Jordan's King Abdullah II and US President Donald Trump in the White House on Tuesday could have led to a falling-out between the two close allies.

Instead, it turned out to be a bilateral tightrope walk.

"One of the things that we can do right away is take 2,000 children, cancer children who are in a very ill state. That is possible," Abdullah II told Trump in Washington.

"That is a really beautiful gesture," Trump answered.

Much to the relief of Jordan, which is heavily dependent on US aid, Trump also retreated from previous threats to halt or cut aid to Jordan, even though the Jordanian king remained steadfast in his refusal to take in Palestinians from Gaza.

"We contribute a lot of money to Jordan and to Egypt, by the way, a lot to both, but I don't have to threaten that," Trump said, adding that "I do believe we're above that."

Although Jordan has USA money, neither Israel nor the USA want a hostile Jordan either

This is why Hamas equals Gaza.
The people are brainwashed from being tiny.

Which is exactly why clearing up and rebuilding in Gaza for them would be a big problem as they would accept all the aid then go back to their prime narrative which is hating Jews and simply waiting for the right time to strike against Israelis again.
Am coming round to the DT idea of relocating them to adjacent countries for that very reason.

Anniebach Wed 12-Feb-25 14:33:24

Such hatred, Jews have had to live with it for centuries, still are

They want to clear the planet of Jews .

And you say they don't, Claremont

Why so sure? There's so much information. School children are taught to hate Jews, to put it simply. An EU report identifies evidence of anti-Jewish racism. A chapter sends the message that Jews are dangerous, deceptive. It demonises them. Terrorists are glorified.

Do read this, Claremont. It might help you understand that Jews are seen as something to be removed. And whilst this is being taught in schools then the children will follow this and there will never be peace.

I wish I could do links from my phone but search, Palestinian School Textbooks: EU Review 2021

Of course it shouldn't- But this is not what Trump and Netanyahu want, nor is it what they have planned for, for a very long time, way before October 7th,

So not true

It’s wrong that Trump wants Gazens to move out- I dont know who’s job it is to rebuild Gaza, but it should be rebuilt & Palestinians allowed to stay where they are.

Perhaps the same people who funded Hamas and equipped them with guns, rockets, and millions of pounds worth of weapons of war, and the ability to build miles of tunnels should now fund the rebuilding of Gaza.
