NO, it is not. It is neither. Netanyahu is not the victim here, and this is who many are blaming, a) for not listening to very clear and repeated warnings b) for deciding to obliterate Gaza and the Palestinians in retaliation for the awful attacks of October.

But it's not victim blaming! I have never ever claimed anybody but Hamas was responsible for the attack and atrocities.

Somebody (I can't remember who) queried how the attack happened when Israel has such (allegedly) secure control over its borders. I explained what apparently happened. Even some of the surviving army watchers complained that their concerns weren't taken seriously and at least two senior officers resigned. That is on record.

And then I get subjected to ludicrous accusations about victim blaming and holocaust denial! Total gaslighting - and really quite offensive!

The English government made some bad decisions regarding ‘the troubles’ for sure, inasmuch as negotiations that led to the GFA could have been initiated earlier and saved more lives. Indeed it was mothers from both sides of the divide marching to end the bloodshed that finally tipped the scales. But there was much intransigence in the government when it came to sitting down with the enemy to work out a lasting peace deal, however, in the end it had to be done and there is much to be learned from that.

Yes Annie, the Israeli government probably is at fault for making sone bad decisions. God knows our own governments have made enough, some that resulted in a loss of innocent lives in illegal wars. And Netanyahu is not a popular man with many Israelis or even members of his own government.
And I know you will put your own spin on this but in all honesty I don’t think there is a government anywhere that doesn’t make bad decisions at some point, especially in times of war.
