Or just people returning to a pile of rubble that marks where there home once was, hoping to recover the bodies of their loved ones for burial.
Sometimes a bit of humanity and compassion helps us see things through a different lense. Some could be returning to fight but many are just too wretched to even think about it.

Nobody wants Palestinians, Egypt and Jordan have both refused to take any refugees, they both have plenty of trouble controlling their own terrorists. Both also get massive military aid from the US to do that. Maybe Iran would like to help their allies?. The truth is nobody wants anything to do with Palestinians they are trouble.

As for developing Gaza let’s end the fighting first, when it’s secure then it will be rebuilt.

Totally agree. Watched pictures of all those young men walking back to their homes and all I could think of was future trouble; more tunnels, more rockets ?

It is a real shame that the ethnically cleansed people of Gaza are now only perceived as the ‘trouble’ they could cause to the countries that might accept them.
I suggest we read this article and try to see them as human beings in desperate need.

Have to wait and see how it plays out in terms of internal Israeli politics, which I don't know enough about. Guardian has a discussion.

I suggest we read this article and try to see them as human beings in desperate need.

Anyone who knows about the region would see the naivety of suggesting that Egypt/Jordan should take all the ethnically cleansed Palestinians, and Iran has no interest in accepting them. Their involvement is ideological, fighting what they see as the imperialist US and their allies, Palestinians are merely a pawn in their war by proxy. Also they are not Arabs and have a long and well documented history of conflict with them. Especially the more recent Iran/Iraq war where many mercenary fighters serving Saddam were Palestinian, and even now many Palestinian tea shops have a portrait of Saddam, perceived by many as one of the greatest Arab leaders.
So. Is complex.
Egypt is not a rich country unlike some of its neighbours and they already have many refugees. It is not so much about encouraging terrorism is about cost. And ‘yes’ Israel does get the lion’s share of funding over all other countries not just in the ME but worldwide. As for Jordan if they accept more Palestinians, and they already have plenty from decades ago with no right to return, they risk Israel turning its fire power on them in order to defend their borders if there is any unrest, and grabbing land from them.

Or even topsy-turvy!

The world is tipsy-turvy.

Many people on both sides have needlessly died.

Hammas and other similar terrorist groups do need controlling.

The Palenstians deserve a “homeland” and both “sides” deserve a peaceful existence.

Who knows how this can ever happen.

I doubt any Arab country would accept Palestinians from Gaza: the Arab states perceive then to be trouble best avoided.

Israel receives more aid from the US than Jordan and Egypt do combined.
