Can’t see it happening as the neighbour countries like Egypt and Jordan won’t have them, doesn’t want them and has enough home grown terrorists to deal with, without a lot more coming in.
So you assume that all of the bombed out, traumatised displaced Palestinians are terrorists?

Surely wherever the boundary is there will be conflict though, even if Gaza was handed over to Israel in its entirety? Maybe there should be an internationally controlled no go zone a mile wide all the way round Israel.
Or the other way round?
I don’t think that would work Claremont, Gaza is too small to lose 37 square miles when it only has 141 to start with, whereas Israel has 22,000+.
The ethnic cleansing and genocide are going to be exacerbated by Israel refusing to let the Palestinians return north and because the whole world is now so scared of Trump it will allowed to happen. and Trump will continue to say he is doing it for their own good to allow Gaza time to be cleansed!!!
And we all look on unable to do anything..

One only has to look at a map of the region to realise that, to Netanyahu and his cronies, Gaza is a highly desirable piece of land. Worryingly, some American diplomats are now talking about the West Bank belonging to Israel.
Both Egypt and Jordan already have nearly a million refugees each and don't want any more. Does Trump not realise that, historically, carving up territories without the consent of the people involved has been the source of many of the problems in the Middle East and parts of Africa?
Trump is indeed suggesting ethnic cleansing. I should be shocked but I’m not. Netanyahu has already committed genocide and the world simply watched so I imagine ethnic cleansing will now take place and again the world will simply watch.
I mean who is going to prevent this?
Which government cares enough or has the balls to protest?
I have no doubt it will happen.
Two posters have links to a newspaper claiming ‘Israel has always wanted Gaza’

Printed in 1948 ?
Round about that time.

I need to find it but I have a newspaper article from quite a few years ago saying that Israel have always wanted Gaza
No need, Netanyahu and Trump have already decided.

Give me a minute to consult the crystal ball

The Arab nations don't want to get involved in this proposal, I really, really struggle to find any other words than ethnic cleansing if it is enforced by military force,
as long as Palestinians want to live in their own homeland, Palestine.
BTW, is Trump also planning to spend millions of dollars to assist this process?

Do you mean in their own homes in the country of their birth
and of their ancestors?
Just appalling- worse even Annie.

He continued: “I don’t know, something has to happen, but it’s literally a demolition site right now. Almost everything’s demolished and people are dying there, so I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations and build housing in a different location where I think they could maybe live in peace for a change.”
The president, a former property developer, said that the potential housing “could be temporary” or “could be long-term.”
oh I see, how kind, how lovely, how peaceful- that's alright then

Unbelievable. What is that going to do for East/West relations? I despair.
I've just watched The Promise on Ch4 - it's an old series with a young Claire Foy which moves back and forth between modern day and postwar Israel. It's clearly trying to be even handed about the conflict, and is a good watch. One of the characters says at the end that they can understand why the Jewish people needed somewhere to call their own (the series starts in the concentration camps), but that they have imposed their need for security on the Palestinians in a cruel and unreasonable way. That's not a direct quote, but is the gist of what was said, and it's hard to take issue with it.
Now, 80 years on, there are so many further issues that it's impossible to see a way out. Evicting people from their own homes can't be the right way though. Imagine how that would feel.

Won't be long until we find out probably.
It happened before - depopulate as much as possible through war, then colonisation. Barbarossa.
Trump said they should be resettled i other middleEastern countries.
The immediate reaction from most is that Trump is effectively advocating ethnic cleansing and should be indited and tried.
as he agrees to deliver a massive number of bombs for the IDF- so they can clear the country.
Are they planning the Ben Gurrion Canal yet- was it was this is all about, as some suspected a long time ago.
Call me cynical andpessimistic. Where on earth are they supposed to go?
