It has everything to do with Gaza.

This is not the case of any American shooting any tourists.

It is about spreading hate, against one group or another. The American happened to be a Jew, and he happened to want to shoot two men, point blank, because he thought he looked like Palestinians.

As you are fully aware.

If a 'Palestinian/arab' American had shot two men because they looked Jewish, point blank- what would you say.

Can we now expect every report of every shooting in America ?

So a trigger happy US citizen has mistakenly shot and injured two Israeli holidaymakers.
That has no bearing on Gaza.Just very unfortunate for the two men on holiday.

A Jewish man in Miami Beach was arrested Sunday and charged with two counts of attempted murder, a day after opening fire at a car in which he said he saw “two Palestinians” inside.

However, police said that the victims were actually two Jewish Israelis visiting the US. The victims, Ari Rabey and his father, initially thought they were being targeted in an antisemitic attack..

Mordechai Brafman, 27, was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder after he shot at the car 17 times with a semiautomatic handgun on Saturday.

Police said there was no altercation between Brafman and the two victims before the shooting, which they described as unprovoked, reports said.

According to the arrest sheet, Brafman said that while he was driving his truck, “he saw two Palestinians and shot and killed both.”

We will all suffer from it. I am 74 and have had an amazing, very full and happy life. But I so fear for the next generation. Our grandchildren finishing school and some at University, with a whole life ahead of them and very aware of the dangers.

I agree. Is depressing me so much these days. To think that the freedoms our parents fought so hard for in WW2 and the freedoms our generation fought for on the streets and in parliament, will have to be fought for all over again.

I am truly sad that it has come to this. For Gaza. For Ukraine. Sovereignty and human lives obviously mean nothing now. And for this reason other countries need to beware, this inexorable rise of fascism will need to be guarded against. Trump, Bibi, Putin. A new world order indeed.
I may be over egging the pudding but I can actually see it happening in real time. And I fear those who bury their heads in the sand, as many did in the 1930s, will suffer for it.
