That is a misuse of the word genocide.

Contrast what happened in the Nazi concentration camps with press photos of Hamas handing over Israeli hostages. Do Hamas operatives and the jeering crowds of men look as if they are victims of a holocaust, does it look like genocide?

Women and children may be suffering greatly as a result of this war but these men do not look as if they are suffering. The women and children are their human shields.

Or to NOT make a bad situation worse by flattening Gaza and escalating their response to the October incident by tens and hundreds of times of deaths and the intended annihilation of the Palestinians? We know that the Old Testament ethos was "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" and that much retribution would probably have been accepted, but multiplying the punishment so much is not justice, it is genocide.
