The PRAMS program at the CDC has been shuttered.

I don’t like Starmer but I have to say I have much sympathy for him meeting Trump this coming week. I do hope he manages to talk some sense into Trump, but I sadly dought this will happen.

He’s between a rock and a hard place isn’t he? Starmer can’t openly criticise DT to his face but will have to be uber diplomatic yet try and get his points across in a positive way.

I can’t get over the scene the other day on stage, Musk walking about brandishing the chainsaw.It was a low point in an already degraded administration.

Friday night’s order, the judge wrote, “bars the Treasury Department from granting access to any member of the DOGE team within the Treasury Department to any payment record, payment systems, or any other data systems maintained by the Treasury Department containing personally identifiable information and/or confidential financial information of payees.”

He is also clearing out the JAGs (Judge Advocate General) from the military. So military judges.

This is a harbinger of war crimes to come.

Meanwhile we have the somewhat ludicrous if apparently populist idea that Musk is floating about a $5000 payout from the DOGE savings to US taxpayers.

Note:

The proposed eligibility criteria would result in billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates receiving a DOGE Dividend check. In contrast, millions of working-class Americans—many of whom were prioritized in previous stimulus programs—would receive nothing

Note also that $5000 (thats £3958) won't go very far. It would buy half a reasonable second hand car. It won't pay for your health insurance for a year, nothing like:

"Health insurance average $8951 pa per single and $25.572 per family".

We already have imaround's amount that she had to pay out for her son on top of that health insurance.

But above all, as I said initially, the money won't go to the people most in need - who are the ones where it might make a little difference - as they dont earn enough to pay tax!
