There are so many Jews all over the world saying similar things. I recently withdraw a letter written by one of them, about the hostages, because the translation from Hebrew was poor and not clear enough.

This young lady expresses herself very well. Very brave, as she will be called, as all who say the same 'a self hating Jew' and will face consequences, in her family, her professional life, and other ways.

Indeed!

Thank you Pascal30, it was very clear, and they know it.

Who are they please?

Irish Catholics?
Italian Catholics?
Croatian Catholics?

Not a pleasant thing to post when the Pope is so very ill. 😥

Claremont your last sentence is disgusting.

Facts are facts…

A quick Google confirms Annibachs post that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the 21st century.

There is a survey by World Value Surveys in 57 countries showed that Muslims give birth to more children than other religions.

You're surely not suggesting that Claremont said that statement I hope. She was clearly saying that it was said in the 30's and that she found it sickening..

You are saying it was said in the 30s. 1930s?

Claremont says she remembers it:
I remember same words used for Irish and Italian Catholics, not that long ago. Breeding like rabbits.

Claremont you must be older than I thought!!

Putting words into other posters' mouths is uncalled for.

I’m one such. And I make no excuses for doing so.
The Palestinians chose to get in bed with the devil. Now they are paying the price. Their choice 🤷‍♀️

Claremont said it because posters were denying that muslims face the same level of prejudice as jewish people. That vermin thing is real, someone on the Telegraph comments thought it very clever to coin "palevermin" for the citizens of Gaza. Post hadn't been taken down in 24 hrs.

@ Claremont is it too much trouble to observe the accepted convention for quoting the words of others , ie “ “ marks round the quotation?
As it stands, the words were yours and yours alone.
There are good reasons for punctuation conventions- the principal one being clarity of expression and avoiding misunderstanding.

👏👏👏👏Oreo the fastest growing faith of the major faiths
is Muslim faith, younger people joining and higher birth rates.

Not a faith being persecuted surely
Why do you think that is?

Higher virth rates- same words as in the 1930s- vermin breeding too fast. Sickening.

Yes sickening, why say it , why do you have to do this ? What is the need ?

GrannyGravy13 Sun 23-Feb-25 17:10:17

Claremont

No, they did in the 1930s! Linked to accusations of high birth rates.

Are you disputing readily available facts?

GrannyGravy13 Sun 23-Feb-25 17:09:39

RosieandherMaw I agree, dreadful way to describe a religious group.

The words are yours. Nobody here mentioned”vermin” did they?

Oreo 'Certainly not in all the many Muslim countries, and if they live in Europe they could do more ( their religious leaders at any rate) to publicly condemn extremism which would go a long way towards dispelling any prejudice towards them which in itself has come about from all the many Muslim extremist acts of great violence committed all round the world.'

Yes, agreed. Just as Jews all over the world should condemn what Netanyahu is doing in Palestine. And very many do, very loudly and eloquently. But many support him all the way.

Am correcting a couple of things just stated on this thread.
Claremont says that ‘Palestinians and Muslims all over the world live with terrible prejudice and fear all the time’….where?
Certainly not in all the many Muslim countries, and if they live in Europe they could do more ( their religious leaders at any rate) to publicly condemn extremism which would go a long way towards dispelling any prejudice towards them which in itself has come about from all the many Muslim extremist acts of great violence committed all round the world.
Jews in Europe have done nothing wrong but still encounter more prejudice and often downright hate from some quarters.
Babs03 says that ‘ even on threads on this forum Muslims have been called barbaric.’ No,they haven’t but their country/ culture has and in many cases it’s absolutely true. You have only to look at Afghanistan and Syria and Iran, Gaza and Lebanon and Yemen to know these are not our good liberal Western values. As women, or gay or non Muslim or anything a bit different and vulnerable how would you like to live in any of those countries I wonder.

Babs03 Sun 23-Feb-25 13:37:02

It is not a crime to be Jewish, Jews should be able to go about their daily lives without fear nor persecution.

They should not have to be constantly aware that a terrorist organisation had vowed not to rest until every single Jew is wiped of the planet.

Imagine if this was said about a Muslim, an African tribe, it would be called out for what it is blatant racism…

Oh but it is said about Muslims, with impunity, am not sure where you gave been for the past decade but Islamophobia is definitely the go-to choice of persecution in most western countries. Even on threads on this forum Muslims have been called barbaric, and not the same as people in the west. Imagine saying that about anyone who is Jewish it would called out and quite rightfully too.
