Trump/Zelensky interview in the White House

well it looks like Zelensky has made an enemy of Trump.. Let's see what he says in his speech to Congress..

Against my better judgement, I am having to hope that Trump can stay healthy enough to hold on to his presidency as the thought of VP Vance having to step in is a far worst prospect. VPs are not usually so vocal or high profile so Trump had better watch his back. The enemy within and all that.

Didn’t Starmer spend yesterday whipping up financial and military support from the EU so enabling Trump to dump Ukraine?

I think you may have a rosier view of all that than I do.

What a really nasty man Vance is. Bad as Trump is he's even worse. Awful to think that if anything happened to Trump he would be President

Apparently Vance is going to run for President in 2028 (assuming Trump doesn’t get the Constitution altered to enable him and his family to be POTUS indefinitely).

I haven't commented on this thread yet but so many posters have said what I think. Just to add my tuppenceworth though, I too was totally disgusted at the way Trump and Vance treated President Zelenskyy. Such rudeness to a man whose country is fighting for its existence and who was coping well in a language which is not his own.

I'm convinced it was a 'set up' by Trump,Vance and right wing reporter. Trump wants out and this was only way he could do it...and if things don't go to plan he will say it's Zelensky's fault and 'I told you so'.. all to look good for him on tv.. delivering on his promises for the ones who voted for him! Many many Americans loathe him! I'm convinced he's already done a deal with his pal Putin!

I can't understand how Trump can repeatedly rile himself up and not have a stroke or heart attack. You can tell by looking at his face that he's in a constant state of turmoil. Miserable looking .

Why not say enough is enough?

If that were the case, he would have just said so and negotiated with Europe to that end. Mining resources are not in any way protective terms. Morally he doesnt give a d***.

I was so glad to see the European leaders greeting Zelenskyy so warmly at the start of the summit! If I was Ukrainian I'd be worried sick by Trump's attitude as displayed yesterday.

I understand that the Russian reporter was only ejected after the piece of theatre that Trump & Vance had arranged.

I think, to witness the grovelling downfall of Zelensky signing a document which gave no protection against Russia and proved to the world that Trump can deliver to Russia as pre-agreed.

It didn't work out that way: whatever the Russians have said, it wasn't really what Trump wanted, which is why they are so cross and even more dramatic now.
