There’s a European summit in the UK this weekend, which Zelensky is attending. I think a joint statement will go out after that.

I couldn't agree more.

All my grown family and friends have been messaging me saying how sickened they were by the press conference with Trump and Zelensky. I imagine this response is repeated many times over in this country and indeed around the world.
The majority will feel shocked and sickened.
I just despair.

I’m still feeling shocked by the bullying, disrespectful, aggressive behaviour shown by Trump and Vance towards Zelensky. They had clearly rehearsed and planned their assault on Zelensky. It was a dreadful thing to watch this decent President treated with such disrespect and disdain.

I agree. These things don't just happen by accident. I think they had it planned.

I think it’s time to be scared, they are unhinged and dangerous.
Zelensky showed dignity and courage in the face of this disgraceful and patronising attack.
I wonder what the American people will make of this? Will any of Trump’s supporters begin to see him for what he truly is? He’s only just got back into power and managed to throw the world into chaos. A new world disorder and God help us all.

I don’t think it was planned to turn out how it did, I think they thought Zelensky would capitulate. Knowingly exposing themselves to the world as bullies surely wasn’t part of their game plan. Appearing tough yes, but bullies, no, because it exposes them. Trump undoubtedly lost his cool.

Charles and Starmer know what they're doing but dealing with someone who is so unpredictable as Trump? 🤔
