Now, Tuesday 4th March we know what his "big announcement" was: he is stopping help to Ukraine and has implemented his new Customs duties on imports from Canada and Mexico.
There is not really a lot of point in our wasting our time trying to second-guess him.
It is anybody's guess what he will do next, as if there is any logical thought behind his decisions, it is not the kind of logic that sane people can follow.
He doesn't even seem to realise that the higher duties on imports from Canada and Mexico is going to harm ordinary American citizens.
I too hope Zeilensky will not sign anything with Trump, now or ever. Talking about signing - the Danish minister of Defence is in Helsinki in order to sign an agreement with Finland to train soldiers together and make arms deals for each country with an eye to what the other country is buying or using. The Danish King and Queen are on a state visit to Finland today, and it is no secret that Defence is one of the main topics of conversation.
