European countries were aware of the need to increase defence spending, as well as work co-operatively. A forward thinking US President would support that whereas the bully boy shouts, threatens, is rude to everyone. Is that the role model we want for our grandsons

Comments coming out of Russia in English tend to be propaganda. when talking about what Americans think I like to use a number of different American sources.

It’s not in the scheme of things the most important issue for anyone in the UK. I hope with 350 million people in the USA some workable healthcare system cuts through. It could be the catalyst for a better and fairer healthcare economy. It’s upto you guys to push for it. We have our struggles with the NHS.

Zelensky doesn't want to continue the war, he wants peace with some guarantee that Putin is not going to come back with a stronger army in a year or two's time. Trump can give him that guarantee without it costing the US, he can sell US arms to Ukraine and Europe whilst protecting his own military capacity to engage on other fronts should it be necessary. It is completely unnecessary to disrupt US alliances with countries that fought next to the US after 7/11. Look it up, Ronib and you will see how many countries stood with the US, it's about 50 in total, I believe. There are ways of changing the focus in alliances without completely wrecking them but Trump is choosing to do damage, so ask, who is gaining from this? It's not the American people, polls on Monday showed only 4% of Americans supported Russia, yes, many Americans want an end to the war (as do most Europeans and Ukrainians) but that doesn't mean they want to see Ukraine thrown to the dogs! In a recent poll only 30% thought the US was giving too much military aid, with 30% thinking it was too little. Trump's view is not completely in tune with the population. Look at a variety of polls, not just one, which is why I haven't posted a link.

Trump is not good for the world, he's only good for Trump and anyone who thinks otherwise is very blinkered. Instead of thinking in terms of the harm that Trump is doing to the US, think instead about who benefits. If you know in advance that something will destabilise the markets then you can make big money. If you know there's an announcement about crytocurrency that will cause a rise in it's value, you can make millions. If you have your own cryptocurrency you can take enormous bribes and backhanders from foreign countries without fear of it being traced. Best of all, if you are POTUS you can lay your own golden eggs with the flourish of a pen.

I just truly do not understand? Russia re the aggressors, Putin thought he’d walk right in, sit right down and have Ykraine bow to him.
