Cossy
I think most of us will agree anyone who is biologically male, whether transitioned or not, is not going to be able to “fairly” compete again most women and not have an unfair advantage.
I also don’t think men and women can alter their biological sex, however they can live very settled stable lives, causing no one any harm, as a different gender to which they were assigned at birth.
In many countries, including ours, they can be given a legal status showing that they are now living their life as man or woman.
It doesn’t bother me, I agree transitioned males now living as women shouldn’t be in women’s prisons, or compete against women in sport.
However, in the great scheme of things it really is a teeny weeny issue.
Agree Cossy.
In the majority of sports trans women do not compete against biological women, but if it happens it is not fair in my opinion. Nor do I think trans women should be in biological women’s jails or use ‘women only’ spaces.
This is, however, as you have said, an issue that really only affects the very smallest percentage of people. The majority will not be affected by this in any way.
And I support the right for individuals to change gender. I cannot say that I understand this but that doesn’t mean I have the right to enforce my own norms upon others.
