I believe it's illegal in USA to do that

Smileless2012 Mon 31-Mar-25 19:28:27

OMG if the future of civilisation depends on Trump will somebody kill me now.

If you read the ABC article it quotes Wisconsin State Law

""forbids anyone from offering or promising to give anything of value to an elector in order to induce the elector to go to the polls, vote or refrain from voting, or vote for a particular person."

20 million dollars spent so far, bear in mind this is an election for the top judiciary in the state and its a swing state.

Public election of judges sounds all very well in a fair and just society, but basically it links the political and judicial wings of power.

State supreme courts have a lot of power in ways beyond what we understand as judicial.

"state Supreme Courts often have the final authority to review a state’s legislative and congressional maps. In doing so, they can serve as safeguards against unfettered partisan gerrymandering in redistricting in order to ensure the enactment of fair electoral maps. Furthermore, state Supreme Courts have the power of final review over other election-related matters such as recounts and election contests."

They are not elected for life, it's from 4 to 15 years with mandatory retirement.

Well, neither the Wisconsin Appealate Court nor the Supreme Court stopped him. Remember, everything illegal is now legal.

Musk was also crying in Fox News because his feelings are hurt that no one likes him.

I am with you Smileless. If this is what the future looks like, I want them to bomb my house first.

"Crying because nobody likes him!?" Well, he needs to take a long hard look at himself.

He ran onto stage wearing a cheese hat!

I cannot imagine a cabinet minister of any other country in the world doing that.

May I recommend this song to him:

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,
Guess I'll go eat worms,
Long, thin, slimy ones; Short, fat, juicy ones,
Itsy, bitsy, fuzzy wuzzy worms.
Down goes the first one, down goes the second one,
Oh how they wiggle and squirm.
Up comes the first one, up comes the second one,
Oh, how they wiggle and squirm!
Big, fat, juicy ones
Long, thin, slimey ones
Itsy bitsy, fuzzy wuzzy worms
Nobody likes me
Everybody hates me
Guess I'll go eat worms!

Apologies to anyone of a delicate disposition.

The person who he was whining about reminded him that he did this to himself.

Musk seems to honestly believe he is helping people and that the push back is not warranted.

Delusion seems to be a pre-requisite for being in Trumps circle of influence.
