You have to look at what is traded and whether it can easily be replaced, also how easily the respective governments will find it in relation to their voting population.

That will tell you all you need to know.

It isn't just about trading though. China is expanding it's territories exponentially and is much more sneaky and covert politically than USA

China is all about "Face".

Sanctions relate to political actions.

Well Russia hasn't declared support for China but this article from Russian news sources gives a picture of consequences. However the bessie mate Trump/Putin picture around Ukraine is likely to be seriously disrupted

Trump taking on China is like the US taking on Vietnam- they will lose. Especially with Russia aligned against them as a well. God help us all because we will be dragged down too.

I was reading this morning that China supplies USA with the majority of 73% smart phones,78% laptops and 87% video consoles.

People in USA are not going to be very happy as the shelves empty out.

All the cards are in Chinese hands, and they know how to play them.

I wonder why not...

The White House say they have a list of 75 countries who have negotiated with Trump on tariffs. They won't release the list though.

Just saw the EU is going to allow China's electric vehicles as a response to Trump. I have not researched this yet.
