If these two posters say they don't know the meaning of TRA, why would you assume they both have more expertise than others, Mollygo?

What does discrimination have to do with "being kind". Because it has nothing to do with "being unkind" it is discrimination! And also harassment of course.

I’m happy about the judgement, but sad it should have had to be made, its like a court today ruling that the earth is round.

The right to be admitted to rape crisis centres, even when they were made aware that the natal women who attended such places were there because they had been brutalised, abused and traumatised by men and, understandably, couldn't stand to be in the presence of men.

The right to counsel, examine and interview those rape victims despite the fact that their very presence exacerbated the trauma of those women.

The right to attend women's rallies and meetings and, when denied access, to create violence and disruption in attempts to cancel them.

The right to demand to be housed in female prisons when they'd committed crimes of sexual abuse, rape and violence against women, knowing that they'd be locked up in a cell with more vulnerable women for up to 23 hours a day.

The right to share women's changing rooms.

The right to present as a woman doctor and carry out intimate examinations and, when a female patient raised any objection, the right to accuse that patient of bigotry and transphobia.

The right to accuse lesbians of transphobic bigotry when they reject your offer to have a sexual relationship with them and enjoy their "lady dick".

The right to chase a gay man out of a gay pride rally with such violence and aggression that he needed a police escort, simply because his T shirt had LGB on it instead of LGBTQ.

The thing is as the 'be kind' brigade have been wrong at every step of the way, and have caused considerable harm, it is very difficult for women to trust those who shout be kind.

Women have more rights than simple human rights, because we need them. We have reproductive rights and the right to protections based on our sex. What specifically would I ask for for trans people? Nothing more than they already have, protections against discrimination. I just feel that anyone who agrees with that would stand against the comment I addressed on the second page as unnecessary and crude. Now we can forge a way forward with clarity. Can we as women lead the way in that perhaps? Show that we do care?

Therein lies a difficulty.

I am asking again, because so far there has been a lot of accusations, but no clarification.

The only transrights we ever hear of in the news is where TW want to cheat by entering female sports, or lie their way into female safe spaces.

What rights have trans asked for or in some cases demanded that don’t impinge on existing, hard fought female rights, meaning they would tread on others to get their rights?

In the days of living unnoticed or I wouldn’t have known, except trans, what rights did they demand that they did or didn’t get.

My original post was about women's rights, to get a better "feel of the climate here" for trans people maybe start a separate post. Whilst all threads wander, this one has in some quite dubious ways.
I've known trans people, l know the relatives of trans people, l respect them as much as l respect other people. I have no respect for trans activists and political parties that promote one group's rights at the expense of another.

Well I have been trying to get a feel of the climate here and I have found little support for trans people not involved in this and I have seen open comments that denigrate trans people. I've simply pointed out that those things do not sit well with me and there is no need for them in any discussion.

I guess knowledge of TRAs would be more common in Scotland than rUK, given Scotland was led by one.

Why on earth would I know what a "TRA" is? As an acronym it could have meant anything at all. I have never seen it in the news that is for certain. Thank you for explaining what is meant but it is as outrageous to say I would pretend ignorance as it is to say I am somehow allied with it.

Now Trans Rights campaigners will need to start campaigning for their own safe spaces just as women have done.

It could take some time but will be worth it.

Precisely Luminance! And isn't it a damned shame that 3 women have had to go to the Supreme Court today to say exactly that and to have it passed down as a rule of law that only a human being that has two X chromosomes is a woman? And that no matter how a human being with one X and one Y chromosome dresses, thinks or presents themselves, they are not, nor ever will be, a woman? But we all knew that all along didn't we?
