Just flagging the latest TRIP Leading interview with Australia's PM, Anthony Albanese.

I used to listen to TRIP and TRIP Leading all of the time. But, for the first time in my adult life I am making a point of avoiding the news or political podcasts because I feel totally helpless and confused about what is happening everywhere. Trump being the final straw.I won’t be like this permanently and I’m grateful to Rory and Alastair for making sense of a world that sadly seems to be lacking in it.

I like Albo, always have. He will win this election partly because Dutton, his opponent, is unelectable for many reasons ( and not just his appearance) Likely a reduced majority,though. We are over governed here and it would be very good if we could ditch the state governments and just have Federal and local councils. Too much vested interested for this to occur, sadly.

I know there are some others on here who listen foxie48, but it's also good to be able to offer a more reasoned source of information than we often see.

They are always worth listening to, I thought the one with Ezra Klein was superb and definitely needed a second listen! I get so much more from listening to erudite well connected people discussing world issues than reading the trash that is written in so much of the media. I also appreciate that they interview people regardless of their politics, so it isn't all the opinions of the liberal left! Trip US is also excellent, both Katty and the Mooch really understand US politics and have such good contacts.
