I had an email from Marks today, saying my account details were unaffected. I'm sitting tight for the moment.
I've just travelled to Bristol today to see what summer clothes are in store, our branch in Exeter was depleted at the weekend. Luckily I found the white linen trousers I was after to take abroad in 10 days' time.

Had the same email, and I do trust it and also not trying to do anything re passwords when things are "up in the air".

I'm really missing online M n S badly I was ready to put in a large order. Basics and nighties and summer stuff. I'm nowhere near a store and I know their excellent sizing systems.

I think they will take their time to set up a less vulnerable system.

Thank you GrannyGravy!

I need some summer trousers and tops too.

Have a look at Sosander, they are true to size and have a promotion at the moment if you type in summer in the promotion box at checkout, 20% off and free delivery .

I changed my password this morning but did need to wait for the link to come through.
I read that Marks normally sell £3.8million worth of goods per day online.
They are making such a loss as it's gone on for so long.
It really is very unsettling as I think this is just the beginning of these cyber attacks.

Not in this case windmill because M&S do not retain credit card details on their database. I’m sure some companies do though.

My M & S credit card is registered on their App and my online account.

Trying to change my password at the moment, but I am not receiving the ^re-set password link^

We did ours this morning. My reset link came through immediately, DH's didn't. He clicked for it again and then noticed the note saying if you hadn't received a link within 24 hours do it again. Within half an hour he received two links but used the most recent as directed. We're both all sorted. I think pure volume is causing these disparities.

I'm running out of knickers!

Tesco do nice packs of knickers 😅

JaneJudge Tue 13-May-25 13:30:45

I have a co-op membership (the blue member one - there are 8 different types apparently) but I can’t really remember buying from M&S online for ages (like years) and I don’t have a sparks card

I’ve had emails off both M&S and co-op too.

They are typically British brands aren’t they? It isn’t a coincidence

I'm also trying to change password but not getting a link. Spoke yesterday to their Retail department regarding an unreceived on line order and still haven't had a credit for that, said they've done that now and I should wait 3 days, we'll see, my statement shows payment is due around 21st month, so I'm hoping not to have to pay for items that are no longer going to be sent.

I expect everybody is trying to get on at the same time to reset their account passwords, that probably why it’s causing a problem to do so at the moment.

According to the BBC news report, they only save the last two numbers, so it says your account details are not at risk, fortunately. It advises to change your account password, and they will prompt to do that next time you order.

I've had a couple of obviously dodgy emails purporting to be from M&S. Deleted at once

If you have accounts with M&S or the Co-op be very careful now about calls or emails purportedly from them.
It’s leading to many supply issues with both companies, and empty shelves.

Happened twice where we are 😩 I now take cash.

M & S have said that the computer problem - which is still ongoing - has led to customers' details being harvested but affirm that credit card details have not been accessed.

Really? But if determined hackers can siphon off a wealth of customer data then surely credit card info is just as vulnerable?
