The most powerful man in the world is having a public slanging match with the richest man in the world, if that's now newsworthy I wonder what is! Trump can affect Musk's business int it.erests greatly and I bet Musk knows a few things that could damage Trump. If they have any sense they'll put a lid on

I was all so predictable though, wasn’t it?

Pretty pathetic.

Smileless2012 Fri 06-Jun-25 09:09:50

My thoughts too ViceVersa, very unpresidential behaviour even for Trump.

A photo of Trump with Epstein will cause him problems. Prince Andrew was very damaged by his association with him.

I wonder why the rest of the world is sucked up into this melodrama? Trump and Musk seem set on destroying each other? I think Trump will be more damaged in terms of reputation and Musk will suffer financially from the fight. Do we need involve ourselves in this battle?

This made me smile!
Yes, there was a media storm over this last night but the repercussions could well be more serious.
Musk is right when he says Trump would not have won without his money, and now he is losing money hand over fist. The markets will not like it.
It draws attention to Trump's BBB which is already making the GOP uneasy. Maybe this is the beginning of the turn away from Trump.
I have sympathy for neither, my sympathies lie with the people who will suffer from the childish antics of both these immature, selfish, deluded men.

Trump seems to be Teflon coated. He is plain bad on so many levels It's difficult to begin or to prioritise 😡

ViceVersa Fri 06-Jun-25 09:01:44

To see Trump entering into a very childish and public spat with Musk on X (Twitter) last night was quite astounding, really. It's hardly the kind of thing any head of state should be doing.

Not involve ourselves, but, in my opinion, we would be very foolish to ignore it. What happens across the pond ripples across to us.

😄😄😄 re-read your post and then grin at the contradiction.

NotSpaghetti

Saw this last night.
Dare I hope it's the end of DOGE and might (possibly) somehow help Ukraine....?

I very much doubt it, sadly.

I haven't read much this, but on tv in France last night the presenters were delighted that Trump had called Musk le fou, madman.

Galaxy Fri 06-Jun-25 08:40:38

Yes my money is on Trump too, but my predictions tend to be dodgy.

AGAA4 Fri 06-Jun-25 08:38:46

Although Trump may not be as damaged by this fight as Musk he will still feel some pain politically and
personally from Musk's allegations.

It was Trump who tried to cool things down later yesterday.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 06-Jun-25 08:22:44

My money unfortunately is on Trump. (I think😊)

He has the ability to hurt Musk quite a bit financially, and that is a major consideration to Musk.

It is a bit like watching the Johnson/Cummings fallout but big time.

Musk might have information that would normally hurt Trump, but his followers are so mesmerised that I doubt it will touch the sides.

Chocolatelovinggran Fri 06-Jun-25 08:21:14

And I do wonder about Mr Musk's hints about Mr Trump's connections to the late Mr Epstein. It's a bad idea to fall out with your friend who knows where the bodies ( metaphorically) are buried.

NotSpaghetti Fri 06-Jun-25 07:51:28

And maybe people will now stand up to DT and reject the Care cuts?

Sadgrandma yes their egos match each other…both very arrogant and narcissistic..

Grandmabatty Fri 06-Jun-25 07:37:40

Two huge egos battling it out for supremacy. Neither come out of it well. I have little interest in either of them. It would be good if Trump got what he deserved but that's unlikely

Sadgrandma Fri 06-Jun-25 07:36:36

Two enormous egos were sure to collide eventually. I’m surprised it took so long!

Bea65 Fri 06-Jun-25 07:25:54

Was watching the early earlier news and it seems they’ve had a major fallout..re ?Tesla and according to Musk he states Trump was involved with Epstein allegedly…this world gets crazier by the day…
