Surely you mean Martial law which involves the substitution of military authority for civil rule usually in times of war, rebellion or natural disaster ( not to be confused with the Marshall Plan of 1948 which created reliable trading partners and supported the development of stable democratic governments in Western Europe)

I should also point out that Congress can stop all of this at any time. The republicans, and some democrats, refuse to do their jobs. The rest of the Dems, other than a select few, are just as incompetent.

They all need to be voted out in 2026, no matter what is behind their name. If we can still vote.

He wont run out of troops though. Here are the US military numbers as of 2023 I believe. He could send every single one of them to do domestic police work illegally. And if he runs out of those, I am sure there are still at least 50,000,000 Trump supporters who are armed who will fight for him.

A place I’ve always wanted to go to is the pet cemetery in Paris; I do like cemeteries! Rin Tin Tin is buried there as is a horse called Troytown who won the Grand National but sadly died at Auteuil. I don’t think we have anything like it in the UK; even though we’re supposed to be a Nation of animal lovers I think the French take it to another level.

Have a wonderful time Imaround London & Paris are two unique cities, lots of history to discover, hope you can come back & visit other places too but those two are "must see".

I actually saw the d'Orsay in Paris when I was there in the late 80's. It would definitely be on my list! We are going into the Louvre this trip.

Can I recommend the Musee d’Orsay in Paris. Someone told us about it prior to a weekend visit and it contained all of my favourite Impressionist paintings along with lots of other fascinating stuff.

Went there for a Christmas lunch last year, just before Christmas😊. It was beautifully decorated.

My first visit would be to Hever Castle. I want to see her Book of Hours especially.

If I could spend my days jumping countries in Europe just to visit the museums it would be a dream come true as well. You all have such a long history compared to here and I love history, so I want to see everything.
