Please let this thread not be a new retrashing of the McCanns. This family have been through enough hell. They loved their little girl more than any of us who didnt even know her. I can put up my hands and say I made many mistakes in bringing up mine. Partly through naivety and a lot through carelessness. There but got the grace of God... I can only feel compassion for this family. The only person deserving of disdain and condemnation is the one who stole her from her bed on a happy family holiday.

I am less concerned about the parents’ guilt about leaving the children unattended (which they richly deserve IMO) than I am about their possible implication in Madeleine’s demise.

I know there is limited evidence but there are statements from the staff at the tapas bar that suggest that none of the children of the group members were visited even as often as they said, and that there are, shall we say, other explanations for what might have happened.

I can’t possibly know, but as the case has come to the surface again, I just think that there should be more enquiries made into more obvious explanations than the one that ‘they’ took her.

To answer your question - yes it is possible. Perverts have perverted minds ….they probably prefer little 4 year old girls to babies.
What happened to Madeline McCann was tragic and the parents will have to live with their careless decision, for the rest of their lives
